New Nepoc Shirts

snore...HUH?
by the time I get one of these, my ride will be a classic...j/k!
really tho, how much longer?

i was trying to get another cell shaded car to put on the shirt with that one.....thats where the t-shirt design process stalled..

oh yeah...I have some photos on my computer that I was going to cell shade. I lost interest after the first one came out so great. :) I'll see if I can whip up another one this week. Keep bumping this thread so I see it when I am at home.

Yet again, wish I had photoshop...or hell, any photo editing program, I love doing cell shades.
Dude, you should have told me while you were here. I could have burned you a copy of photoshop! I have one of the newer versions. 7 I think?

I definitley need to get that from you then. What are you doing saturday afternoon? I'm headin back to CT for a graduation party, maybe I'll be able to swing by and grab it if you'll be around

If the car isn't finished I'll be doing that. But, I'm really hoping to have it done Friday. Almost forgot I work on Saturdays now, lol. If you want, I can burn you a copy and you can swing by my work and pick it up. I work for Cox, it's right off 95, exit 8. Lemme know and I'll give you more precise directions.

do one of mine or mark's car if you get a chance.

I started doing one of the ones of my car that you said would be good (rear shot from westfield meet with blue msp next to it) but i was having trouble using the same thickness in lines as you did and found myself either tracing too many or too few details so it didnt look the same as yours like i was hoping it would.

To make an official version I will need a larger resolution photo from altspace (hence the unfinished wheels). I did the best I could but I'm not happy with the outcome.

For reference, here is the quality of my P5. The larger the photo the better it comes out. It's hard to pick and choose the lines to trace some shots work better than others. What can I say...my P5 looks badass as a cartoon!

Doing both shots would be too many colors I think. For slugs car I used black, silver, dark gray, orange, red, and white. (on a white t-shirt that is 5 colors)

For my car I used black, silver, dark grey, blue, and white (on a white t-shirt that is 4 colors)

Combine them and you would need 6 colors.

when I was thinking of using your car I tihnk I made the entire windshield black, and possibly the side windows also so it was just silver, black and blue (on a white shirt). picture didnt look as good but it trimmed down on one more color.

I think i like the angle of my car from the westfield pic better. If we do a rear shot of any car we are adding Red for a color no matter how you slice it, and orange if we want, or we make it an mp3 and use the same blue as your car.

I think places charge like 25ish? per color for setting up a plate, so if you make (generously) 30 shirts, 3 colors you already have 75 bucks to offset in the sales of only 30 shirts. 125 to offset for a 5 color shirt. Base price ofl ike 14-15 bucks, plus sharing a 125 dollar setup fee and its still only a 20 dollar shirt which isnt too bad....unless the base price is more since the quantity is relatively small...

^^
Neato!

Here's my vote with what we have now:

* white shirts
* On the front we use my photo (black/blue/silver - w/o the white highlights)
* Above the car spell out NEPOC in block letters (use black for the outline and leave the inside blank or use silver for the inside.
* Below the car write out "New England Protege Owner's Club" in italic black small print text.
* On the back, we can list the meets we've had thus far in rock tour format. Options are to use black text or blue text.
* As a backdrop to the list we can use altspace's vector drawing. For coloring we could do a) black outline and all silver, b) black outline, silver car, and black highlights just like what is shown above, c) just the black outline and don't fill in anything. Keep in mind that the text will go over the image so it can't stand out too much.

Slug, I will try to make a trace of that other image. You don't happen to have a high-res version do you? I forget if you sent me one before.
