New mz3 here

Just came home. I actually went in to buy a MX-5 Roadster... dealer talked me into buying this. OMG am I glad he did.

Paid just about $29k with ext. warrenty etc. $1000 down and traded in the dakota.

im going out now. gonna go driving. ))) god damn I love this car.

I'm guessing you got the GT with Navi system etc. for that price? Hope you enjoy it though - I went to the dealer earlier this week to look at one but at the end of the day I just can't trade in my MSP.

... and switch to MS3 mod status? Sure! The MX-5 went to the ex-gf. I still work on it for her when it needs servicing and what not. I will eventually get another one though.

hmm.. my manager (he has a speed 6) told me to go and research this speed 3 .. he claims there are many bad things about it.. and something about a recall?

I think he's just jealous.. he also says the speed 6 engine is bigger than the speed 3. I thought it was the exact same.

Hahaha!!! Your manager is an idiot. LOL! I've heard of no recalls so far and the speed 6 has the exact same engine. He's just jealous. The main difference between the speed 6 and the speed 3 (besides the body design) is the AWD and the ECU.

yeah.. I just got done doing the research.. exact same engine.. NO recalls.. nothing.

only thing he was right about is the torque steer. oh man.. that just adds to the fun. lol.


I cant seem to find the weight difference though. I know the Mz3 weighs around 3100 lbs. How much is the speed 6?

I think he made a good choice, no doubt. It's just funny how he walks in knowing what he wants and the salesperson persuades him into something else. I know all about that. Done it before when I sold cars. It's still funny though, kid was all hyped to get a Miata.
