Just found a motor for the MSP, 135,000 good compression and oil press. They are keeping the intake and eh and turbo. $1750 I guess thats a good price(cabpatch)

That is really high. Just find a used 2000+ FSDE and sawp over your MSP parts. If you were in Miami you can find a used JDM FSDE long block for around $600

The problem is that the MSP parts ie crank cover and assorted other parts got trashed when it blew

hey i live in south florida and i picked up an engine from this place called all Japanese and after about 3 mounths the engine overheated and now i need another engine where can i find a long block with lil miles on it for that price?

I have an FS-DE sitting in the garage. Never ran hot but did smoke because the rings need to be replaced. Its perfect for anyone wanting to have a build project on the side.

if it only overheated dont you think itd be cooling problems and that you wouldnt need a replacement engine? unless you neglected the temperature gauge that comes stock with almost every single car and let the head do real damage?

I got my 626 motor cheap, there aren't many differences between the 626 and protege motor and almost no changes from the regular protege to the MSP. Protege garage sells the main bearing support plate, your oil cooler should still be good and you don't really need the MSP cover on the engine...

Al Japanese is where I got my engine. It is running strong for over 1 1/2 yrs. and (drive2)boosting fine. Plus I flushed the engine before doing the final install.
