2008 Mazda CX-9
Hi everyone! New to the forum and have a question that I hope someone can answer.

Have a white 2008 CX-9 GT and have a question about the check engine light. My last car was a Highlander and there was a sequence using the ignition and trip reset buttom to cancel your check engine light that would come as a reminder when your car needed servicing. Is there a way a easy way to reset the check engine light on the Mazda? I usually do my own oil and filter changes. Thanks!

I'm quite sure the CX-9 does not have a change oil light--Mazda recommends based on mileage and time (6 months or 7500 miles for normal driving).

Your terminology is incorrect. A check engine light indicates a problem (usually emission related) that needs to be checked by the dealer.

Check Engine Light

So if the light comes on there is a problem that needs to be addressed. Thanks for the responses!
