The springs are there to lower the car if you want to really stiffin up the ride then you might want to look into getting some nice shocks...this may be pricey but it will definately give the car a little more response around corners....as for just the springs...it may make a little bit of difference but you may not get the full response you are looking for...tein springs is a great way to go though!

I thought that this may interest you...here is a pic of a guy of a guy on this sight that has tein springs...he has stock rims and the car looks great...the springs really change the whole image of the car....its no more a grocery getter, instead its a low grocery getter!!!

anybody know where i can get them installed and for how much

you can have them put in at usually any machanic shop for usually under 75$...you might even want to do it yourself, its pretty simple to do...just search for how to do it...
