I'm fairly new to the boards and would like to offer up a new product I'm currently making for the new MAZDASPEED Protege. I'm building a 2.5" Mandrel-bent downpipe with no catalytic converters. This pipe retians the 3-bolt flange on the turbo and the 2-bolt flange on the resonator pipe. I've also retained the factory mounting location for the stock O2 sensor. My cat-eliminator pipe will be made of 100% aluminum as is the rest of our stock exhaust system and will look stock (except for the lack of restriction!). The downpipe will be slightly larger than stock and will allow the turbo to spool much quicker. My pipe will allow for installation with basic handtools in a matter of minutes with nothing more needed than a ratchet, socket and the factory spare jack. This pipe will be a great deal for anyone looking for the added performance, but still worried about meeting emmissions. The pipes will be full interchangeable so as to be swapped out in a rush. As we stand right now we are waiting on our shipment of mandrel bends and expect them on Tuesday the 6th. Cost will be $150+shipping, If I can secure at least 10 people, cost will drop to $115-125. This is about the cheapest aftermarket piece you'll find for these cars and will produce a REAL WORLD gain by allowing the turbo to spool up much faster and adding to top-end acceleration. Anyone interested can either PM me here or email to SVTMATTY@BELLSOUTH.NET Thanks.

Sounds cool but I would never suggest to people buying my product to get under the car with the stock tire jack. Thats just an accident waiting to happen. :D

I suggested the tire jack to show how anyone with a limited supply of tools could still benefit from this.

Dyno numbers would be awesome!! Can you spare $150? I can't! Maybe if I sold a couple of pipes I'd have a little extra money to get future products dyno'ed. As it is right now, I'm paying out of my pocket for 10 pipes to be built. Until some of them sell I can't afford dyno time or any other supplies needed for my FMIC I'm working on. I'll see if the only dyno shop here will cut me some slack, but I highly doubt it. So I take it you guys are interested? If so, let me know ASAP. The more pipes I can build upfront at one time the cheaper they become!
