New mazda 2 owner

Hello I just picked up a 2013 mazda 2 sport. First thing I want to add is the arm rest but I haven't seen one in person so I dont know if the extra storage is worth it. Could someone post a picture of theirs open or tell me if the storage is good or not. Thanks

A number of people are using that one instead of OEM. OEM armrest storage isn't great...but definately better than nothing. It does sit in just the right spot though.

This boomerang thing doesnt look as nice. So the storage is only ehh great lol

I have the boomerang XT. I'll upload pictures later today if you want.

The OEM armrest will take up one of your cupholders. The boomerang adds an additional cupholder without compromising.

I have the OEM armrest and I love it. I test drove a 2 without one and the console area looked cheap. The armrest remedies that but takes up your rear passengers cup holder. It is 10000000x more comfortable to drive with it then without it but its a PITA when you have tall drinks in your cup holders. The storage is meh. It has slots for CD's which I use and I have an iPhone charger and a tiny Purell bottle in the storage spot and its packed full. I can try to take a picture if you want but my cell phone lens is broken so all my pictures come out blurry.

See I was worried about the cd slots. maybe I can cut them out and make more room lol. I am thinking the OEM armrest should be fine. Thanks for the post man

The slots for the cd's don't take up too much room...they are maybe 1/4 of the CD depth. I had mine full of CDs but decided to remove them since they were rattling. I never really noticed the rattle until my wife said something one day...and then it drove me nuts. It also had a cool little clip on the underside of the lid that I use to store small amounts of cash (since my wallet often has none) to use in a pinch.

The CD slots are just little slits cut into the plastic. Its just enough to hold the CD's upright and they dont take up much space at all. You could totally use it for storage without modification.

Thanks for all the help guys I will be sure to get one. Also its a good thing it connects to the center console and not the seat as I might be installing a racing seat in it . That might make the armrest useless hmmm lol
