Please build an AWD system on a car that shares our platform! It will only be a matter of time before some could adopt it back to our car and we could have AWD turbo.

There's a shop in Vancouver here called Ron's performance that did that to a 92 GTI, and put the VR6 and AWD from the original passat into it and it hauled azz, and then 12 years later VW finally gets around to doing it themselves.

AWD.

ummm... im pretty sure the jspec awd system would bolt in, you'd just need to reroute your exhaust, and get the rear subframe.

theMAN you got any info on this?

I'm working on Corksport to get the AWD stuff shipped to me. So far we have everything but the gastank and the rear drive shaft. I'm going to check up on that tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be installing the AWD kit this winter while I'm driving my 323 around in the snow and ice. There is a lot more involved than just bolting it in, but it's not going to be impossible by any means. Stay tuned.

I posted about this before... it's *not* a "bolt on" and a lot of the underpinnings is different... the whole chassis is also a bit different

I'm sure its not a bolt on, things like the tunnel for the rear driveshaft would have to be fabbed, but if the cars dimensions are the same, its do able. Any project like this is definitly going to need fabrication, unless the floorpan is stamped exactly the same as ours.
