Hey guys. I am purchasing a 2007 Mica Black GT-Speed3 :). I have a history of turbo vehicles. So I have a few questions.

What does the Speed3 boost at stock?.

What is the compression ratio?

How complicated is it to put a FMIC on ?

BOV specifics?

Any other advice or help you would recommend to tell me as a new GT Speed3 owner would be great :)!!!

1. Boost in limited in 1st and 2nd gear. Full boost potential is 15.6 lbs. in the rest of the gears.

2. CR -- no 100% sure. i think 9.5:1 was being thrown around but don't quote me.

3. FMIC ... don't know (glare) ... lol ...

4. BOV Specifics - Plastic Bypass Valve - 100% recirculation

anything else ?

the compression ratio is 9;5;1 welcome to the forums and enjoy the car..first thing should be either a bov or a cai...cai makes such a big difference in turbo spool sound and performance..isnt 1-3 10psi and 4th-6th is 15.6? (16 rounded up) i think they limit boost for torque steer and traction

i average at around 19 to 21 psi every gear

that would be a negative.

i have seen people spiking at 20-21 lbs. but not holding.

highest i have seen hold was 18 lbs, through every gear tuned with XEDE.

what are you mods ? and is the 19-21 psi spiking or holding ?

I would not worry about a new BOV at this point since the stock one is fine.I would go for the CAI asap. Then maybe a FMIC and dont forget the boost gauge.

Oh and welcome to the boards...

well thats what my boost gauge tells me...it holds it pretty well..i just have the cai

i am saying, the gauge connection or gauge itself might be screwy...lol

u really need some type of scanning tool to hook up and see

ive had two on there..diff brands..both the same results..ill take it to my buddies dyno and see what he gets..

Something is wrong because no one else gets those numbers. The norm seems to be steady @ 15-16 psi and spicks to 18 -20 psi like cashmere said.I bet you will still be ok running 20psi but its not normal for stock.

When I first saw this without reading anyone else's posts, I was gonna be like "Talk to CaSHMeRe (my fiance) cuz he installed his own FMIC"....but it looks like he's already posted here! haha

yeah go with the cai for sure also i would look at a better tmic instead of a fmic... unless you are going for big boost there really is no need for a fmic with the pressure drop there really is no perf gain from what tests have shown so far compared to the improved tmic.

and what tests are these tsunami? Steven's car hasn't lost any pressure and actually feels faster.

(but i don't know much about turbo's. i'm learning though)
