New here, Need some help with my 02 P5

Hey, I know I just got on here but do what KMS said. Look at the ribbed hose coming from your air filter box. It looks like it's flexible right? It's not really. And every time you or the previous owner goes and gets an oil change at the jiffy lube, the guy that checks your air filter to charge you for a new one, pushes or pulls the top of the airbox up to get to the filter. And by looking at it, it looks like it will be flexible but it's not. So over time, this can cause a crack in the ribbed hose. Mine was cracked almost all the way around and it was in one of the valleys of the ribs. So I couldn't see it. Did all that crap you did and it ended up being a twenty dollar hose. It might be hard to check without removing it but it is def worth a look. I think the mechanic said the idle is rough because air is getting on or out at idle but when you rev or get moving the suction is stronger so it just pulls in air and it's fine.
P.S. I'm from G-town myself!

mine had a rip in the rib (wasnt big maybe an inch or 2 long) but idle sucked when it had it, so did gas mileage and i have never had any issues using seafoam through the gas or vacuum lines

Here's the list of possibilities for a rough idle,...
