Hey zoomzoom,, how's your cp-e hks valve fit with the tmic cover?
Does it rub or anything?

well i actually stripped one of the holes for the bolts to keep the tmic on. it does hit somewhat but on back edge of the valve. I had an issue with my 1st one (I have the CPe kit) and CP-e sent me one already mounted on the flange. My first flange appeared to be somewhat machined improperly. So I just put it on how it came in. I'm sure you can rotate it on the flange (it goes on with a snap ring) to give it more clearance.

Alright cool, reason im asking is i bought a used one and i wasnt happy with the quality so i found a cp-e black hks for sale and i was wondering how the fitment was.
The one i have one is "ms3 specific" but it still rubs some.
All i did was keep one screw in and the screw next to the valve i left blank which seems like what you did also.

yea thats what i did. i just left one bolt holding the cover on and the other off. now i misplaced both of them when working on the car the other day. but im sure messing with it some on the flange would help. i had a black one first. thats what i wanted. then damn thing frustrated me and effed up. i didnt buy it from cpe but someone else and experience was frustrating. cpe took care of me though.

how do you like the valve compared to the turbosmart? i was actually thinking about getting that one at first.

The TS's build quality seems a lot better, like the fit and finish.
It sucks the hks is ~300 new and has all these problems. (tmic cover, recirc tube, etc.)
The TS went on very easy. I ran it 50/50 and it was more of a "PSHHH" compared to the hks's flutter.

I mainly switched tho just to try something different.

And btw,, my TS is for sale ;)

well i got my hks at a discount on the other forums and su is having a sale on many cpe products.

gl with the sale on the TS. I personally chose the HKS for being self adjusting :)
