Hellooo ladies and gents! (hi)
I am Shay, somewhat new to the mazda world. I've had my Protege5 for about a year now, originally got it for a winter beater for the family. My husband has a 96 ek hatch, k20a, and he doesnt like to drive it in the winter, so we got the p5.
But ofcourse, i fell in love with it!!
When we bought it, it already a full cat-back megan exhaust, and a cold air intake.
It was riding stock height, 4x4. So we ordered a D2 full coilover set-up and lowered it two inches. (boom03)
It's a 5speed, my first one, so i had to learn how to drive. But thank god i had that down within the first few hours!
I plan on modding it, and joined the forum so i could learn some more before i start trying to mod a car that i don't really know anything about..
Buuuuutt, here are some pics of miss lowla :)

this^ was at the Ice Cream Cruise last month, here in Nebraska.

The P5 is a little dinged up as of now, just minor dents and the occasional rust.
I plan on doing all the body work after winter..
(yippy)

Well, thanks for reading!

welcome. nice p5 you got there. how do you like the d2's?

I LOVE them!
Its a realllly smooth ride, and I can mobb around corners without an inch of body roll.
I would probably reccomend them to just about anyone, lol.

Welcome (hi) First "mods" I would suggest would be to remove the door moldings and also to black out your headlights, I think it would flow great with the black rims and tinted windows. If you want to go even more extreme on that, go for a set of Matt V retrofits (thumb)

Thanks!
It's actually short for Shaleah, like shah-layah..
that was a really weird way to explain it...
:)

The tails are blacked out, i reaaallly need to get some new headlight housings though. They are all sorts of faded and mangly lookin'..
I'll probably end up buying some before winter hits, the pink HID's dont shine through to well..
