would this turbo-back exhaust bolt up to a GT3071 turbo?

uve been on the forums long enough to know that this exhuast doesnt bolt up to the turbo. it bolts on to the Downpipe aka S pipe.

Well from their website, they say: "Looking for an awesome exhaust for your Mazda Speed Protege? We have the ultimate exhaust. It's a full downpipe, cat and cat back exhaust with resonator. This replaces everything from your Turbo Back with Stainless Steel!

But according to Wesman, its from the stock s-pipe back. So its not a true turboback exhaust. And if you look at it, you can see that its bent to replace the stock J-pipe.

NO its DOES NOT replace the downpipe. if u look under ur car ull see that our exhuast is made up of 5 parts. this replaces 4 of em.

I'd ask GHL if their S-pipe replacement would fit onto this if you're thinking about replacing the whole stock turbo-back setup. I'm fairly positive they can sell you just their aftermarket S-pipe if thats what you're looking for.

IIRC the downpipe alone was like 380 something the downpipe and a catted midpipe was 580 something. so i think ur better off buying the downpipe and midpipe from GHL and getting the catback from this GB. im personaly waiting for MAM. there gonna be making a nice downpipe and midpipe. im gonna sell my catless midpipe and buy the MAM whenever they make it . as for the cat back i have the greddy sp2 and im happy with it

correct me if im wrong but is that middle section in this picture of the exhaust not the down pipe. I belive what you guys are talking about is the S-pipe which is the 5th element in our stock exhaust.

Ok, lemme clear this up.

This is an s-pipe back exhaust. It replaces the j-pipe and everything behind that. So basically, you're leaving your stock s-pipe on and replacing everything else. If you just look at the picture it's pretty obvious it doesn't replace the s-pipe, but it includes what apexr1 calls their "downpipe." I want this type of exhaust because I don't want to deal with the pain of installing the s-pipe (supposed to be a real b****) plus this price is $400 cheaper than the GHL exhaust. Replacing that little bit of stock piping isn't worth $400 to me. With that $400 I could get an SMIC or put it towards an FMIC. I don't think replacnig the s-pipe is as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

preach on brother. besides maybe somewhere in the futuer for those of us who buy this exhaust we could get together and have the same manufactuer of the exhaust make us an S-pipe that would mate. or you could alsways buy the s-pipe from Ion or GHL and have it mod'ed to fit this exhaust. I just relized that the claims as far as HP gains go of 22 is the same Ion is claiming with there exhaust.

Yeah CustomMSP said he's working on a direct repacement for the stock s-pipe which means it woult bolt up to this exhaust. It's not definite if he's making it though. If I really feel the stock s-pipe is holding me back I'll just port it, but I probably won't bother with it. When you look at dollar to horsepower you can spend your money a lot better IMO.

once we have paid in full how soon will it be till we physicly have the exhaust in our hands. I guess what I am asking is how soon will it ship and what is the expected shipping time?

i am still buying, price is great and i can worry about s-pipe later, maybe from edtracing, i would rather use the $ for the smic i am looking at from customMSP, which comes highly recomended. same question as the others, when do i give down payment and how?


oh yeah, are the kartboy hangers okay for this?
