good post

I agree- I've learned a lot about FW's and clutches through this whole thing.
I had a CM clutch and fidanza flywheel installed 6k miles ago. Shorty after install I noticed a small clicking noise from tranny area. It only occured when engine was idling and cooling/ac fans were on. Seems to go away when above 1k RPM's.
A thread that I read said it was due to the alum Flywheel's heat expansion causing some slop in the pilot bearing. I got a little nervous and thought I would have to pay for someone to go in and fix it and heard there could be mojor problems with drivetrain.
I exchanged some e-mails with Rafi from RR Racing and he said, "I have installed many of these flywheels and never had a problem whether
I used the Loctite or not... that said, I would just leave this pilot
bearing in place, as it is not really very critical part, maybe the
noise will go away. It wont hurt the drivetrain... that bearing doesn't do much, I haven't heard the noise, but unless it gets worse you are probably ok.
bottom line is though that Fidanza is not likely to pay your $XXX installation charge... that's just the way it is.... but if you want, you can take it up with them (xxx-xxx-xxxx is their phone number)."
Well anyway, it still sounds the same since then 4k miles. I hear more noise doe to header, AWR mounts installed. Just don't want this to be a problem in the future.
I love the Clutch though........it takes a beeting and never slips or smells burnt.
Well, I am getting bitched at to get off the comp........
