I think it has to be 32 or 35 offset since EVO's run the same offset with 17x8" stock rims all around.
What does the wheel run by a completely different manufacturer's car on a completely different chassis have to do with the protege??

Racing Harts are 17x7 +55 - they actually rub the inner fender in the rear when weighed down. I'm thinking about picking up some 1/8" spacers but I'm not sure if I'd need longer studs or not..Is the stock MSP offset +50 or +55?
on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to put on new shocks and springs?
Man, will a +40 mm offset even fit without sever modification? I'd imagine a 245 tire on a +40 mm wheel would stick out quite a bit?for the record, regarding tires and wheels, the 17x7.5 +48 with 245/45 will not even mount. Even with 6mm of spacers the tires rubbed to point the wheel would not spin. I'm guessing i'll need at most a +40 to fit the 245s
i think what Andrew is saying, is that you can't compare the fitment of those wheels on the Evo to the fitment on a Protege. I'm telling you, +32 will stick out of the wheel well.

For daily, I'd got with 4 or 6kg/mm.Rogue, you got your BC springs set up bc you auto-x mostly but for a DD and street race will i need 8kg/cm front and 8kg/cm rear or just leave the rear's as they come 4kg/cm , (I know you can bump up 2kg/cm by adj. the spring but if i need stiffer spring i'd rather get new one).

I think stocks are +45 for sure.
i am considering this to be my next big mod to my car. how long did the install take you? these would go on my DD so i cant really be w/o a car for more then 2 days.
