NEW AUTORND ROTA D2 WHEEL for P5

anyway i could get a set before september 24th? thats the only thing i will lack by then is rims, i'll have my drop, system, front lip, interior done by then. im entering a car show here and i'd rather not be on my curb thrashed stock rims if i can help it.

bump. I can't guarantee ETA's as it's too early. They just began production. Either way these will be the first batch into the US. Please let me know if you want them.

Thanks, Rishie

Damn, Rota doesn't waste much time do they? I think these would look cool on my blazing yellow speed. Oh well. I ordered some kdw2's for the stockers last week

Knock-off or not, Rota makes the BEST wheels in my option. They take a popular design and make it so everyone can have it.

WWWWWWWWWWOW! In gunmetal these would look great on my ride... Just don't have any cash for those until January...........

Questions about the Rota D2's

These wheels look ******* badass I'am 50/50 on getting these or the 5zigen F1nor-C's in black w/ a polished lip. But I have a couple of questions regarding these wheels

1. Do they come w/o the rivets?

2. Do you guys think these wheels will look stupid or rice on a FWD? car
since most of these rims are used and made for RWD cars with a
staggered fitment.

3. Are these rims [font=verdana, arial, helvetica][font=verdana, arial, helvetica] work meister/SSR Professor SP1 replicas ???

4. Since they have a really deep dish is there a certain tire you would
recommend ? to not **** up the lip on these rims.

5. I know rotas are known to be lightweight rims but these bad boys look
like they weigh 50lbs what is the weight on these?

6. Will these rims come with a center cap ??? or lug nuts ???

7. Can you get a pic of these rims on a different car so we can check what
they will look like somewhat ?

Sorry for all the questions but I like to know everything before I spend my money for something.

Thanks guys for bringing great deals to us, once again.

I read over that post a few times.

They never claimed to have them in stock, just for you to call in and order. Even with that, they would not have them in proper hubcentric protege fitments since rota custom machines them for us, just as Rota has done with subzero's, attacks, and tarmac's in the past for us.

Me and Rob (vapors) were talking about these today and I am curious as to the same question Subghetto asked. Who is Rota knocking off? The Work Meister S1 3-piece/SSR Professor defintely come to mind. But with narrower spoke they almost resemble Gram Lights 57 Pros. Any thoughts Rishie? Jamie?

One thing for sure. I sure as hell wish these had been around when I was buying wheels for the Miata. Sweet!

It's the First Batch of our Fitments into the US.

I do not currently know the weight of this wheel but can find out. These will look great on a FWD car as I have had the Meister S1 3 piece wheels on my P5 and now another has them on his MSP.

This is kind of a mixture between the SP1 and the S1 in all honesty. It has the spoke curvature of the S1, but the fastener design of the SP1. They will not be offered without the "rivots".

As of right now it I have requested them to produce this wheel hubcentric to the Protege 5 lug and allow for a centercap. I will keep my fingers crossed until they come. Due to the Protege's unique multiple wheel fitment complications this is one thing I won't know until I get a production piece in my hands. You might have to remove the dust cap in the rear. This is what causes centercap interference.

I've updated some tire info on the website showing the sizes we'll be slapping on these for you guys. We're gonna figure out how we can add the tire option to the shopping cart so you guys can buy a package right there. We're doing this ourselves, no hardcore professionals here so please bare with us.

You can notice some of my other custom fitments that we're doing.

Thanks, Rishie

hey man remember you always have a great source of knowledge in this forum, dont be shy to ask questions about somthing, there are a lot of guys on here willing to help such a great vendor like you guys. Keep up the great work

I might have missed this somewhere, but what is the offset? 48? I have 42 offset on my MSP and I rub in the rear pasenger. I love my rims, but really hate the rub and contemplating new rims. So we have no pics of these in black.... or on a MSP?
Thanks!

By dust cap do you mean that metal thing that keeps the brakes from getting dirty?

Thanks rishie this would be much appreciated.

The dust cap covers the hub in the rear, it pops off easily with a flathead screwdriver. It's just there to keep dust out of the rear hub.

To all those that PM'd me, I'll be getting back to you shortly.
