Here's the one I posted on the other thread. Pull back on the Commander and the focus goes to the bottom row. You can scroll through those icons with it. The last icon takes you back to MZD.
Just went to the store and connected it. AA loaded automatically after a bit. Didn't expect that. The audio was still coming from the FM radio. Didn't know it could do that.

On the phone with Spectrum because our internet was down again this morning. AGAIN!

Did the hack today and put it on my car.
I gotta admit one thing: it is nice having a reason to actually use the voice activation button on the steering wheel. [emoji38]
Looks like you have a change of heart as you'd said before you really don't care if the AA and ACP are not available on CX-5? ;)

Glad you hacked your Mazda Connect and now you have AA. Apparently your Mazda Connect doesn't have the latest software version so that you can hack it? Are you worried about warranty issues with the hack on your 2016.5 CX-5?

Have not had a change of heart... yet. I have always said it would be cool to have it but it is not must have for me. Still sticking to that. I'm using it a lot to check it out, because it's something new. And give feedback here.

Correct, I do not have the newest. I got my infotainment updated just before .502 came out which is the one that locked it down.

Not even remotely worried about warranty issues. In fact, I can't wait to show it to my dealer. :D To me this is nothing more then installing an app on a phone...which at the very heart of this is what it does.

I will say now that I've tried it 'built in' I think Mazda screwed up by waiting so long. BECAUSE: Commander Knob. Honda has no other way to interact with AA. Ford doesn't. Chevy doesn't. People into AA / ACP would love this option.
In fact, only Audi does afaik.

BMW is the first having the Commander Knob. Yeah I like it too and it's part of reasons we bought a CX-5.

Now I regret to let my dealer installed the latest version of Mazda Connect trying to fix my navigation system. I can't do the hack now and the new software also screwed up the song arrangement of my USB stick!

Actually BMW and Audi is nicer in that they have gestures also (top or knob is a touch surface) but no touch screen for the screen itself.

Ok, last one unless someone wants to see something specific. Running Waze

I used Waze on AA for the first time in a rental yesterday. Very nice. Can you work with Waze notifications and confirmations via the command knob, or touchscreen only?

Is it easy to revert everything back?
If the accessory will come out in fall I think I will just wait. It's still winter in Canada snowing today!!

It works with the knob Alphadog.

I thing Fenglin is thinking:
Install it now with the hack, uninstall it when Mazda officially releases it and get that installed.
You could do that easily. Seriously it takes less then 10 minutes to install or uninstall.
But as stated here, you could install it now and do nothing when Mazda releases thiers. They will overwrite your radio with a fresh version which will overwrite the hacks as well. It's like reinstalling windows.

I have the .504 build on - i have to do the serial cable hack, but i think i will.

But i did just read that you don't want the new 540 build - it is causing some problems with AA and a few other apps.

BTW, did you enable wifi? Any purpose for doing so? I wonder if we need a sticky for AIO Tweaks.

I did not. If you enable wifi you can connect your laptop and use the command line to manually run the scripts. No reason I'd want to do that.
