2012 Mazda CX 9 Turing
I just leased 2012 cx9 Turing 2 month ago i do like the Suv but already have 2 issues # 1 when the car warms up the belt squeaks over 2k RPM
#2 there is an annoying rattle and vibration from the engine also around 2 k rpm. you can feel it when you drive it very annoying for a new car. I took it to the dealership they said the engine moved and they had to loosen the mounts and realign it and for the belt they cleaned some dirt . After 3 weeks of driving the car its doing the same thing again belt squeaking and very annoying vibration and rattle. Any suggestions what should i do at this point. I dont think they know what they are doing there is no way the engine moved i have been driving manny different cars and never heard such a thing.

Sorry to hear about this. 55k on my belts, never had a squeal. Is a belt exposed? I.e.is there perhaps a splash shield on the passenger side that may be missing or fell off? Water or oil on a belt can contribute to it. Is there coolant on the belt? If adding coolant and you spill on a belt it can happen. Automatic tensioner failing? You have a lease get them to fix it. Rattle.... loose exhaust shield? Again, get the leasor to fix it.

Sounded like the motor mounts. Insane they should be loose on a new car, unless,...

I would keep a close eye on the vehicle. Was it put into service before this? A demo or lease return maybe?

the car was brand new had 10 miles when i picked it up i wii bring it back to the dealer again its just a hassle. the whole point of getting a new car is to avoid all the trouble. It seems like there is a problem with mounts to me also. I know cx9 is a good suv my dad has 08 with 60k on it and no issues. i drove his to compare and no rattle no viabration so i know there is a problem.

1 & 2 are related. bad idler pulley alignment. have the dealer check the bolts. i bet they backed out.

I know idler pully can cause the belt sqeek but how does it cause the engine to viabrate and rattle?
