Never Let Your Girlfriend Drive You Car!!!

So my GF is asking if she can drive my car and I am very hesitant about this because only one person has driven my car since I have had it. I try to beat around the bush and not let her drive it just yet but I felt guilty about not trusting her, ect ect, I am an idiot...
So she is driving my baby and I am totally nervous about it the whole way. Her shifting is rough and steering impresice. Anyways we arrive at our destination and she is pulling up to the curb and gets way too close and rubs the s*** outta the tire on the curb. I almost died. I jumped out to look and there is a phat scratch on my rim, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I tried to play it off like I wasnt mad, just bit my tounge and didnt say squat the whole time. How sad am I???

I don't let my girlfriend TOUCH my cars.
She has no concept of being careful around it or in it. She already scratched up the passanger side console for not wanting to look down while fastening her seat belt.

She belongs in the POS 96 civic DX.

All you have to do to judge if you should let someone drive your car, is look at theres.

Luckily for me my GF grew up in a shop and her father was a mechanic so she has great respect and even a passive interest cars. She drives my car like a wet angry cat and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't kinda sexy LOL.

So you find wet , angry cats sexy eh?.... noted...

Funny you should mention this....my girlfriend had a blowout with her car and lost control and it ended up in the body shop for 5 weeks (btw, could never tell it was wrecked now)...long story short: She didn't feel safe in my CRX, soo I drove that and she drove the MSP for 5 weeks. She didn't harm it in any way, just left the interior a little dirty (easy to clean)...I totally trust her, but there was always that paranoia in my head saying: "an accident is called an 'accident' because it is an accident, it's not an 'on purpose'".

BTW:
OFF TOPIC FORUM - NOT MSP FORUM

Yeah I can also say GF's can't drive. Mine took a turn to sharp going to get gas and ate a curb...It was like she scrathed a part of me...AND since the MBC and Injen there is no way she is ever driving it again...ever.

Heathen What does this do for you??

I've let my girlfriend drive my car a few times. She did just fine. And she likes to drive stick, so I'll be keeping her for a while :)

I let my girlfriend drive my car but she had to go through my training class first....LOL I had her read over and over that paper that was on the drivers side visor. You know the one that said to let the car cool, go over speed bumps slowly, etc.... I also taught her to park out in the boonies, watch curbs, holding on to the wheel if she takes off fast( u know that slip diff;) ), make sure she sets the damn alarm, etc....

But after all this training... i still check the car on door dings or what not. Hopefully ill get over it someday:D

I feel your pain. Mine came home one day for duner, we had a 2000 civic then. I wasn't working at the time. So as she was eating, I decide to look out the windows for whatever reason, and I notice that half the front bumper is gone on the passenger side. I thought I was seeing things, I looked at it in disbelief, rubbed my eyes and yup, sure enough 700 bucks damage.

She didn't even notice. I still until this day do not know what happened.

Everyime she takes the speed, it's like the worse feeling EVER.

Shoot her. seriously though, you should show her the scrape, explain how you feel about your car, and this crape represents why you let NO ONE, not just her, but No One, drive your car. :D
