In addition to re-painting the headlights and possibly a tranny cooler install I am thinking of installing some gauges so I can monitor the car's vitals. Would this be something someone could give me a hand with? I am not the best with a soldering gun....and Mark do you have one?

Quick question for Josh....what would be the best thing to clean my headlight lenses with? While they are apart I want to clean the inside off as they are dirty and it annoys the hell out of me.

Mark is the soldering king. When you say the lens is dirty, how is it dirty exactly? Something get inside the light?

Orly...so soldering king, how big of a job would three gauges (Oil Pressure, Oil Temp (for tranny) and Water temp be...I will be using the oil sammich adapter as well?

Long story for the lights....the lights I initially painted at Mark's had the broken spring clip on the PS. So I sold them (they were used for a projector retrofit) and bought a used pair (already painted) from another member.

1) They are flat black and I want to re-paint them satin, as my others were

2) There seems to be a haze on the inside of the lens. Whenever I clean the car there are always 'smudges' that never wipe off the exterior of the lens. So I am guessing they weren't cleaned before the PO put them back together?

the guage hook is aggresive...you can get it done and the soldering is not the issue...you'll need someone to assist and we can get it done for sure!

I think I'm all set to come and play. Don't really have anything I need to do, so maybe I'll just come and slap on some wax. :)

Saweet...now time to choose gauges. I am currently thinking of the prosport amber/white or the autometer ultalite series. Which do you currently have?

Oh what gauge wire will be needed?

Also, if I do go through with it, I will have a MSP pocket and bracket bar f/s as I wont have a use for it any longer.

Hard to say without actually seeing the haze. I have the same issue with my lens and they have never been open. Though moisture can get in if you are changing bulbs, etc. We'll figure it out. I'll bring various stuff.

hey guys sorry I am going to have to bang out on this one. I have an ems refresher that I have to do that day. I'm really bummed was looking forward to meeting you all.
