neons or not!?!

I like the way they look at car shows, but I really have to advise against getting them unless you go to alot of shows. As mentioned above, you really dont use them any other time, and they are a REAL pain whenever you want to do anything to your car.

First, they are a big pain to install- it takes alot of drilling and wiring and alot of scraped knuckles. Then, after they are installed, if you need to get your car serviced (sometimes even an oil change!) you have to pull the neons off otherwise the chassis lifts will destroy them. Then, after all that, if you have neons instead of leds, they don't work well in the cold. In the winter, 3 of my 4 tubes wouldnt light up at all, and the one that would light up only lit about 1/4 of the length.

So, if you decide that you want the hassle, then get an LED kit, because LEDs are waaaaay more durable than neon lights.

Bling engine bays and spotless paint win shows, not ricey s*** lights everywhere.

ive got red under mine and have got lots of compliments. of course im going for a show car and not a race car. Mine are positioned so i can still rack my car and not worry about busting them.
Its your car, do it if you want.
Ive seen cars that i dont like it on and others that it looks great on. Theres only one way to find out, photoshop.

It's funny (sad) how some people are so worried about their image, and how something was done 5 years ago, and shouldn't be done now. I heard someone one time, at a meet, mention how idiotic this other guy was cause he was playing a song that came out 2 years ago. ****, I still listen to old songs all the time! I also was thinkin of neons under my yellow P5 but after i heard of the fine i could get i decided that it would cost more than it was worth. but hey its your car and who cares whats IN and whats OUT!!! ITS YOUR CAR. If you think it would look nice (which IMO) I do then i say do it.!!!

I'm about ready to add some decals along the skirts (different shade of silver) cause I like it down there, and I want to "spice" up the blah silver. And may even get some neons (red), just for the **** of it. haha

Can't say I'm a huge Neon fan, thought Chrysler should've engineered 'em better, and you already bought an MSP so why do you need a Neon as well?

Do us a favor though - IF you're going to install them, make sure the tubes or LEDs themselves are not visible from beside the car! Make sure we only see "glow". Seeing the bulbs themselves looks a little too k-marty. Seeing just the glow looks OK I guess. TEHO, if you like 'em, go for it!

actually they are legal in ohio, a buddy of mine used to live there,and we asked a cop. I had them on my Corrado, i would turn them bitches on right when i hit the border just cause i can, and i cant in Michigan. I have probably 20 streetglow kits at my store, i just havent had the desire to do it to my 'speed. It looked great on my Corrado, but maybe i just grew out of it or something. i cought alot of s*** from some of my friends for being stuck in the 80s . My older brother loved it tho, it reminded him of his notch back GTA that had red neons in the front and green in the back. looked good back then, right now thats a no-no. If i could see myself putting them on the speed i would, but i just dont. Make sense to anyone?

I thought we were talking about neons? what the **** does this have to do with music? I listen to punk that ranges from the eighties (maybe even earlier) to now but I still hate neons.
