Fuel Efficiency History not loading

I have always been conscious about fuel efficiency, and sadly my current 2024 Turbo Premium is the least fuel efficient vehicle I've had in a while. (It's a turbo, I know. lol).
I've been monitoring the fuel efficiency but what I find weird is that the Average History is not loading:

I tried googling and it seems that I am supposed to be resetting the trip A and/or trip B every time I drive?
Does anyone have insight please.

Thank you.

I don't recall having to reset my trip each time but when my wife gets home from work I will look. I routinely reset trip A when filling up and B when changing oil and I think my 23 turbo registers the history after every drive but been a while since I looked at it.

The following is copied from 2021-connected-vehicle-owners-manual_v2
So yes, you do need to reset the fuel economy for this to work. I usually do it when I refuel.
I alternate between the A and the B but it may only look at the A as that's the one tied to the little blue pointer on the radial fuel economy display.

Fuel efficiency history Displays the information regarding the fuel efficiency.
1. Displays the fuel efficiency for the past 60 minutes.
Displays the fuel efficiency every minute for the past 1 to 10 minutes.
Displays the fuel efficiency every 10 minutes for the past 10 to 60 minutes.
2. Displays the average fuel efficiency over the past 5 resets and after the current reset.
3. Calculates the average fuel efficiency at regular intervals after vehicle travel starts, and displays it.

Settings
Displays the fuel efficiency monitor settings screen. The following settings can be changed in the settings screen.
Fuel efficiency history reset
Setting to reset or not reset the linked average fuel efficiency indicated in the instrumentcluster and the fuel efficiency history (current) on the center display when tripmeter(TRIP A) is reset.

did you check in the menu?
see that icon on the far left
I did - It only prompted me to reset the average history, which I did, which then cleared Trip A, but still nothing displayed in the trips 1-5 as average history.
Thank you for checking - this is exactly what I have been looking for. I've reset Trip A after each drive and also went to options and reset the average there (which was the same thing as resetting Trip A actually), but I still get no average history... :(

btw no need to reset the trip meter. I will take a look at mine. I recall there was option to select to show A or B there but it could be on the previous generation.

I can speculate then there may be something with the infotainment software version.
The 2024 has different version sets than 2022-2023.
There was new update for 2024 models around March 2024 (if your car is built before that).
May be see with the dealer if there is new update for it.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I feel that there is something off with the software or computer settings. This is not the first issue (the other I posted about was the low fuel indicator - I still believe there is a glitch somewhere as it should not come one at 13 miles; my average mpg is 25 so pretty easy highway driving) - anyway, no matter how many times I've reset Trip A or reset the Average Fuel Economy in the infotainment/Information settings, it still does not display the current trip or any of the prior ones. This is on the way home from work yesterday, after multiple resets:

Its a new car it has 3/36 warranty. Have you checked with the dealer?
You're right, I should be bringing this up to the dealer and having them check these issues. I have done it with the low fuel indicator and wasted so much time driving back and forth (45 min each way to the dealer), scheduling appointments, taking off work, etc. This is not my first new car, not first Mazda CX-5 (I also bought 2022 CX-30 for my daughter so it's still in the family) - but they look at me as I am making $hit up. So I gave up going to the dealer... just feel as soon as they sold you the car, the only thing they care is making money off service. If it's a warranty issue - they don't care. I considered calling Mazda USA - but what will they say? Probably "Go to your dealer" LOL
I thought maybe this community can offer insight. And what I see is that yes, there is a problem with history not displaying. I thought maybe there is a way to reset the car computer LOL...

I think the problem is you did the reset in the infotainment setting. Resetting Trip A will move the "average since last Trip A reset" number to the history chart (lower chart) on the infotainment screen and shift everything in that chart by one bar.

However, if you reset average fuel economy in the infotainment setting, it clears everything in that lower chart.

Hi there - I've done both. Mostly I've reset by pressing the 'info' button on the steering wheel to reset Trip A. But as you can see, the bottom half of the screen is not populating at all - even the current - which should regardless of the history. :(

mine works either way so something is glitching in yours..maybe try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and see if that resets it.

Question is... have you tried resetting trip A on steering and then WITHOUT doing reset on infotainment setting then check if the graph has changed?
I have... as recent as yesterday. Still no change in the graph. What concerns me is that even I forget the history (last 5 trips) but even the current one is not loading. I drove my daughter's CX-30 and her current trip is loading fine...

Try NOT to reset trip A and anything else EVERY trip. There's no need to reset every trip. To see fuel economy on every trip, turn on "Trip summary after ignition off" (or something to that effect, not verbatim). You'll see trip fuel economy stat for that drive (right after ignition off) plus average fuel economy since last trip A reset so no need to reset trip A every time.

Make a few trips without resetting anything until you get something on your "Current" bar on the lower graph. That's is NOT your current DRIVE graph and is different than the number on the right that represents your current DRIVE. That is your current AVERAGE from when you last did a trip A reset. If you keep resetting trip A and/or resetting from infotainment menu, you'll get nothing on the "Current" average bar.

Instead, keep driving and not reset anything until you get something on the "Current" bar then when you do a trip A reset, the current bar will move to "1" while 2, 3, 4 shift left by 1 slot.

And don't do reset on infotainment menu. That is not the same as resetting trip A, but to wipe out everything on the lower graph.
