I like the way they look at car shows, but I really have to advise against getting them unless you go to alot of shows. As mentioned above, you really dont use them any other time, and they are a REAL pain whenever you want to do anything to your car.
First, they are a big pain to install- it takes alot of drilling and wiring and alot of scraped knuckles. Then, after they are installed, if you need to get your car serviced (sometimes even an oil change!) you have to pull the neons off otherwise the chassis lifts will destroy them. Then, after all that, if you have neons instead of leds, they don't work well in the cold. In the winter, 3 of my 4 tubes wouldnt light up at all, and the one that would light up only lit about 1/4 of the length.
So, if you decide that you want the hassle, then get an LED kit, because LEDs are waaaaay more durable than neon lights.
