NEMOC Random BS Thread

morn all! back from lrp...great time as always...good to see some old friends and meet some new ones! thanks marlon and lauri for all you guys do to make the weekend a special zoom zoom event!

Yup, even if one of them was you!!

What's up folks! Good seeing many of you guys again!

Always a pleasure Phen. Great time and that apple pie was awesome.

Jeff you did miss a great event and you were missed. Personally like to thank the NEMOC family for the continued support. Hopefully we can get to see you guys more than once a year. We always look forward to hanging with all of you, it seems like time flys by and we are headed back home. The 2013 schedule is up and hopefully we'll see you guys at Mid-Ohio and at the 6 hours of the Glen too!

Thanks for letting me stay with you guys Sat nite. Sorry I left without saying goodbye, but I needed to find a bathroom and get going. Always a great time with the Ohio group.

looking forward to Daytona.

Oh man! That was too funny.

Lol, I couldn't believe it. Ray was watching his shoes when I left Sunday morning.

Moved to our new place for the next 2 weeks. Finally have internet back.

Need to look at some no contract cell phones. Comments on Straight Talk? Seems to be part of the same Trac Phone group?

Apparently Verizon has a month to month with a bunch of unlimited stuff. A co-worker's son uses it. Apparently it's pretty cheap too. Will get more information on it if interested.

Reitrof, I remember liking Virgin Mobile back in the day in the US--trac phone had all sorts of "if you don't use it, it expires" type of minutes.

wow, the butt of everyone jokes today!!! that's okay, when you get old you'll do stupid things too! you don't know that half of it anyway...i had another dumb move at lukes which i might share with you all the next time we're together! it's too funny, even i laughed at myself...

Please, thanks Phen.

He said you get it at Walmart. It's about $40 or $45 a month for unlimited everything. Data, text, talk... I'm not sure if that's a local thing for us, or a nationwide thing. I couldn't find it on Walmart's site though.

As I figured but I see it's on the 2013 calendar. ;)

Bruce, you can go direct thru Verizon too, if you wanted. $50 a month for unlimited everything but that is with a basic phone....it's $80 a month for unlimited talk, text and 1gb of data with a smartphone. This has changed as I was considering doing this with all of my phones vs. the 'share everything' plan they recently introduced. http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/prepay.jsp#chooseAPlan Was also going to suggest MetroPCS (if available up 'North') but just read they are merging with T-Mobile, not sure if that would be a deal breaker for you.

Oh yeah, hi everybody.

Thanks Guys. Straight Talk has unlimited everything for 43 a month if you sign for 6 months with a smartphone

Happy Hump Day all.

all y'all!

I got mad audio equipment on the way... or something. new head unit, JBL MS-8 and some componentz... P5 is gonna be slammin.

crazy man!
So I swapped front wheels left to right and guess what, it pulled slightly to the left on acceleration and slightly to the right on deceleration (the opposite). So in the 400 miles I drove the car on new tires, but old suspension/alignment, it wore the inside shoulders with toe-out to cause enough wear to give it "tire steer".

So I realigned the P5. Didn't like the extra caster and wanted to recheck the toe, since the suspension has settled a bit. The front toe was 2.5mm total toe-out (0.66 degrees) (whereas I left it at 0.6mm toe out originally), so I set it back to smidge 0.3mm toe out. I also took out the caster on the top of the struts, so it's back to stock "max camber, less caster" position. That feels better. Now that the toe is better and there's less caster, the steering behaves a lot better. I can still feel some tire steer from uneven wear, but it's not that bad and at this point, I don't want to replace a set of tires.

Morning NEMOC! TGIF.

Great seeing everyone at LRP again this year, especially the Ohio crew. Marlon and Lauri, thanks again for another great year of Mazda Owners Corrals!

Pulled all the photos off the cards last night and will be working on post-processing hopefully this weekend.

Got a little tipsy at the campsite Saturday night (Apple Pie helped, thanks Chippy, Fez and Phen!) and decided it was a good idea to stumble into the Continental End of Season party for all the teams / owners / manufacturers / sponsors. Got to hang out with some of the Freedom guys and said hi to Charles Espenlaub. Hadn't spoken with him since Mid-Ohio last year but when I busted out the "I'm with Marlon" shirt everyone got a good chuckle. Walked out at the end of the party and they were handing out Continental Tire Pint glasses and rocks glasses, I now have a matching set at home. Good weekend all-in-all!
