NEMOC Random BS Thread

The market is definitely crazy. Luckly for me I bought my condo 4 years ago and would still be able to walk away with 15-20k in my pocket if I were to sell it now, which is more than I put down on it.
Ugg, we bought ours 5 years ago. It's worth 50k less. Luckily we got a renter and we're hoping to hold onto it until the market improves and some of our neighbors sell theirs. There are just too many on the market right now at rock bottom prices for us to sell it.

Yes, Chris buy now if you can! We sold our townhouse and bought our ranch just before the collapse. It worked out well as we made a nice profit on the townhouse but sunk a lot of that into the inflated price of the ranch.... At closing I saw the figures and the PO owed just under $80K...we paid $207K.... :(

I've found a couple places I'm interested in. The smallest houses I can find in the area are 3/2, condos with a 2/2 which is perfect. Whichever place I go for, it'll have to have a garage! Hopefully by the end of this year I'll have enough saved up to make a down payment. If not, I'll probably use my VA loan for 100% financing.

Bruce Congrats on the house! Keeping my fingers crossed for you the closing goes smoothly.

I totally missed this, but congrats Bruce! It's definitely weird not being able to hang out with you guys, but there is always The Mitty!

Edit: I'm totally sick and I forgot what it feels like. I haven't been sick in 4 yrs. Wooohooo for 102.3 fever.

^^ thats southern hospitality for ya , fevers are the worst though

ya, you missed my post about what it cost me to live in my house...about 35k a yr! so i can sell it and put about 15 k a yr in the bank....and i can spend more time with my miata...i mean wife!

Ahh, I hear ya. One of the reasons we wanted to get out, costing me @2500 a month to keep this place running. Glad it's over, well sort of.

Bruce Congrates on the house! Keeping my fingers crossed for you the closing goes smoothly.

Thanks Luke. Inspection is Weds.

I don't think I can trust Bruce and Josh alone over the weekend. They might be too much to handle.

At least Mark's snoring will be gone.

Thanks Chris. Will miss regular NEPOC get togethers, but planning for the Mitty and LRP.

Hope you fell better soon.

So it's day two of the sickness.... The weather is supposed to be in the 60's today and 66 for tomorrow.

I'm itching to drive the Miata baaaaaaaad.

so you can see how stuck in the altima was. it was where the grassy area is and you can see how high the snow was in front of it

Pulled off the highway, just at 200001 to take a photo. Security guy drove by, asked if I needed help, turns out he has a Protege at home!

After not driving the Miata for about a month, she started right up with no issues today. Took her for a very enjoying 45 min drive. Had no idea where I was going or a plan, but I just wanted to drive.

So much fun.

Well NEPOCers, just as the good news was rolling in about my uncle it appears his body had other ideas. I just found out from my aunt that He is on his way home to pass at home. doesnt want to die in the hospital, he want to die at home with this family. i understand him there. Just goes to show no matter what the outcome is looking like, it can change at any moment.

thanks Chris! I guess it was something we couldnt prevent, he didnt want to be on life support to begin with, once he was weaned off the sedatives and awake, he made his decision.

Nice Oleg. But with you driving, I never would have thought she would make 200k.

sorry tony! but its best for him to be at home for the end. we had the same thing with my grandmother last year and I really preferred that to the masonic home.
