NEMOC Random BS Thread

eh, say what you will about the SI, but it has a great motor with darn near 200hp, is extraordinarily reliable, and they drive pretty nicely too.

Option one and two are nice. Three is kinda meh.... Some us here own a Civic, but we don't talk about it much. Hehe

Yeah... some of us do. Man... what were we thinking to keep them?

Oh yeah. Good cars that run forever... just a wee boring to drive in corners.

probably.

between the initial cost, premium fuel, and boosted insurance rates, it is probably a poor idea.

I'm going to put my flame suit on before I say this.

*suits up*

It is between a regular mazda 3 hatch, an impreza 2.5 wagon, and *zips up flame suit* civic SI sedan.

Interestingly enough, my insurance rates stayed the same when I got my Mazdaspeed3. I previously had a 2007 Mazda3 sedan. Premium fuel is like... $3-4 extra per fill-up too.

Up to you though! Best of luck.

Morning all. Getting ready for a beautiful top down drive to Canada in an hour or so. Have a great weekend.

I'm jumping from a forester though, so that hike is a bit higher.

That aside, I can't find a good pre-owned (and non modified) CWP for under 18k.. That's just a wee bit out of reach.

Well.. I'll keep my eye out for you. A lot of times it just takes a bit of negotiation. I got my 2008.5 with only 3,500 miles for $19,000 flat... granted it was via private party. I keep seeing several MS3s with 20,000-35,000 in the $16,500 range.

I'm sure you will be super happy with whatever you end up getting though. :)

yeah, anything is an improvement from my forester.

I'm just not willing to dump the money into it to keep it going.

Morning all! I smell like camp fire... it's our last day before we shut down for 3 weeks (thankfully I'm working 2 of them). We have a big picnic and they're smoking ribs. Mmmm I can't wait for lunch time.

When shopping for a new car after the P5 I test drove the new Civic Si. It felt great, but after driving the RX-8 there was no comparison. The Civic in any form has an "econobox" feel to it. I know full well because I owned a 2003 Civic LX. ;) Still though, great car for MPG and that touch of sportiness.

Check this out. Here's a news clip talking about the kiosks in the supermarkets that I develop video spots for. You can see the TV screen that's built into it.

thankfully the SI is a bit better than its regular counterparts.

The only thing I didn't like about the new SI's were that they didn't really give much warning in corners when they were just about to let go and understeer completely straight. Could be the tires that were on my 2007 SI when I was looking but I didn't like it. It handled well all the way up until that.

New tails arrived yesterday and I got them in just between the storms and sunset last night. Nothing exciting, just switched from the reds to the blacks but I needed to do something to the car. Hopefully get a wash and wax in tonight afterwork.

How strange. It was a double post when I looked at it, then when deleted one it turned into a single.
