NEMOC Random BS Thread

That is a tough choice to sell the condo. However you already know you have housing available and you can always find a new place when ready.

Hey Luke,

It's hard sometimes to let go and start over. Can you look for something while you are working now? That would be best. Or is that not an option?

I have started over twice. 1st didn't work out too well but 2nd time did better.

as far as your condo goes i wouldnt try selling yet. the market would demand you lose the money you would make on it and then some. i know a few people trying to seel condos now with no luck. one of my friends has lowered the price 10,000 under profit. he wants to unload it no matter the loss and STILL can't get rid of it. poor guy.

ask for a promotion and if they say yes then hang on to your position. let them know how you feel. obviously not asshole-ish but as a serious concern to what you are worth to the company. if they refuse or push it off to the side then i say do some job research and put up the condo on the market and see if you get any bites. if someone is a serious buyer then poke around for one of those jobs you kept up on and make your move.

well check realtor.com and/or zillow before throwing out the idea of selling. You could still be able to take some profit depending on your neighborhood and/or when you bought.

I'm not worried about selling the condo. My mother is a realtor and I have an assesment done already.

BTW-Zillow is not a good site to use in New England. They are based down south and price everything too low for our market. Just a little FYI.

It's more about finding another job (most importantly my insurance).

Best thing to do is to move on if you want to move up (in pay scale that is). Whether you stay in the same area or move back to the shore is up to you, but you will never make the money you are worth staying at the same job. I stayed with the same company for 5 years to get my experience in, and when I left it was the best thing I ever did. Especially with a job you got out of college you are probably still treated like a college grad. If you move on, you'll be treated like a professional.

Thanks Guys! I have a lot think about over the next few weeks.
I think it's time to finally finish the small projects around the condo so I can be ready to do whatever I decide.

If I lived closer I'd lend a hand. I love doing odd jobs around the house.

Well...I'm off to Colorado early tmw. I may be online while I'm there. Come home Sat night at 11pm. Woot!

I have nearly given up on flying.... Both directions of this trip have been f'ed up. I'm really hoping I don't get stranded tonight... I will never fly through Philly ever again and maybe that will make the difference.

Luke I'd say do what you think is best. A job is only a means to afford what we want and shouldn't control our life. If you're as unhappy as you sound, start looking around. You might be surprised what's available. I moved from my last job because I wasn't happy...

remember this?

I clear-coated it. Gonna have my grandfather get me a clock mechanism, and figure out how to attach it.

Heh, I'm flying out tmw morning. Made sure they were non-stop flights, I hate layovers.

Well Zimmer just left not too long ago, we installed the tow plate on his car and had some steaks. Good time, though it was rather hot out.

Thanks for the work you put in Sport the mounting hardware is simple effective and looks pretty good or I should say rather discrete! I thought it fell off on the way home. Heard a thump so pulled over but its still there.

I swear every little addition or TLC I give to my car it takes back. I install mudflaps. Side skirt falls off. I Zaino the s*** out of the car I chip the paint being absent minded. I put on tow plate I get a cracked windshield from the highway and headlight out. JEEEZ!!!

luke, might be hard going back to live with the folks, but it might be the best in the long run...selling the condo now might be tough, could you rent it out and pay the mortgage?

woot!! finally feeling ok.. im never going to any burger kings on the highway anymore..not that i think that was the cause but u never know.. going back to work tomorrow, which is good cause i dont have anymore time to cover anymore days off..

Need some help...
The crack in my windshield grew about 6 inches over night. I would like to get it replaced. What is route I should take? I planned on calling the insurance company and stopping in and asking Mazda if they do it or who they'd recommend. I'm concerned the insurance company would force me to use a their preferred vendor not sure how I feel about that. Anyways advice?
Thanks

you can go to almost any glass shop for the replacement...ins will cover it in full too...they're are ones that will come right to your work site as well..
