NEMOC Random BS Thread

Simple green is a decent de-greaser, but I really like the Eagle One all wheel cleaner that Jeff introduced me to at the spring cleaning.

SWEEET THANKS! I'm gonna post of MY old and new vehicle side by side this weekend (If i remember my camera!)

bought a zaino package ... quick question... I plan on rotating the tires and when I have the wheels off I want to clean the interior of the wheel anything strong that will take off all the brake dust and grime easily that you may not typically use on the exterior portion of the wheel?
I was thinking of the "green" product... (I forget the name)
Bug and tar remover helps a lot, a beat-up claybar can also be used. Not sure how well simple green will work. It's a pain in the ass to clean the inside.

If you want to go HARDCORE, you can get Meguiar's Wheel Brigthener, dilute it like 1:4, and use that.. that should make a huge dent in any grime. However, that s*** is wicked toxic, do not get any on your hands, do not inhale overspray, do not get anything in your eyes. You can find it at a Meguiar's Professional Line dealer (car body shop supplies store).

THANKS! ^^^

I plan on doing the wheels when they're off the car when I rotate. I've been so busy this summer I've neglected the car and its gotten real dirty! So this weekend I hope to squeeze a good clean in.

bought some new shoes for the 3. kuhmo ecsta asx....or something like that. theyre all all season so they dont really feel as stiff as my falken 452 summer tires but fairly grippy. theyre supposed to last like 35000 or something so that should be better than the falkens 20000. DOH! so far they do seem like the side walls are floty feeling compared to the falkens but i guess thats the compromise for the all seasons.

thats why i avoided those. I was gonna get yokohama s drives but foung the general exclaims to be the same in all tests but price(see cheaper). so far very happy with them

Put Pirelli P.Zero Neros on mine. I'll prolly get 15K out of them, 20K if i take it easy. I've got snows for the winter so they should last a few years anyway.

well for the speed's SPC balljoints reduce wear and tear on the tires and make them last longer..carlson has them on his car and he says hes noticed a difference so hopefully he will chime in on this.

well, i couldnt pass up the price of under 100 a tire for 225 40 18's. im so used to buying impractical parts for this car for everyday driving putting one on my car is hard to do but i just cant afford the replacement of tires every (if im lucky) 20,000 miles. i do drive nearly 100 miles on the highway everyday to work so i needed something as i said more practical. plus hopefully the all seasons will help somewhat in the winter.

they are def floaty at higher speeds seeming its only a w rating anyway. they roll around though. its a bummer to feel the handling of the car cut nearly in half. but so was the price so you get what you pay for.

on a lighter note i beat a 1999 mustang cobra "r" with 4 people in my car off a roll from 30-about 80 and a creap roll to about 75 until a cop caught us both. i swerved into a home depot lot and he kept going. the cop followed him because he was in the fast lane and i think he radared him not me. as i left the lot i looked down the highway from the bridge and there they were. he was pulld over. how much does that suck. loose to an import 2 times with 4 people in his car and get a ticket. hahahaha. MAZDA FTW!!!

Well I haven't had a good few weeks... My mom got in a pretty bad car accident on Monday.. she has been in UMASS Worcester since then but is expected to be released today..hopefully. She is okay just had a slight scare for a little while.

Still working with insurance on everything, so don't know what they have decided. My mom and the kid have the same insurance company so not sure if that's a bad thing or a good yet.

My mom was on rt 101 in Ashburnham and was traveling through an intersection (no stop sign or light for her, complete right of way) and the kid pulled out in front of her from a side street (had a stop). They collided and that was the result. Not sure if the kid missed the stop or just didn't see her or what.

Wow Zach, I hope she is ok! That looks nasty, How wierd she hit a pro5? As long as shes ok thats the biggest thing!

where are those cars? a NEPOC member needs a new block....i see one!

They are at a garage by me, but I will pass the word to the garage and the insurance company that the p5 could use a home. Or I will let the garage tell me if its going to the local salvage yard and give him the number.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

wow, i hate car accident pics....so she's going to be alright? that kid wasn't on the forum was he?

Not sure if he was on the forum. The kid was only 17 so must have just gotten his license.

Edit: Seems as though she will be alright. Not sure what the lingering affects of the accident will be since it was a head injury...

in regards to the accident...glad to see your mom will be ok, and sad to see the crashed P5...but in other news...

anyone need some pahts?
