NEMOC Random BS Thread

Crazy productive weekend... Saturday: Washed the 6, installed the short throw, two trips to autozone, seafoamed the 8, and made an awesome dinner. Sunday: Got the brakes fixed on the 8, cleaned the wheels really well, put up a mirror in the bathroom, and the leaking problems from the trap and faucet are now fixed!!! I have a fully functioning bathroom now!! FINALLY!

Thanks for all the help James.. :)

And you called me a slave driver... told you youd thank me once it was all done..

gonna be a busy week till wednesday.. then it gets easy.. MS6 is staying in my parents garage till saturday (thank you mom :) (lol2) ).. might take it out to quick detail it but its ready for saturday..

pics of the new truck will be up tomorrow

Back home at 6. 1200 miles this weekend, bushed. Pouring rain for the 1st 4 hours. These tires are great in the rain.

Found out just before 9pm this evening that I'm working 3rd shift (10pm-6am) all week....the kicker is it's a sweet TWO HOUR drive. Thank god I get to bill mileage and travel time ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$).

Other than that I went to the CCSU Car Show even though it was raining. It was me, a ~1975 corvette, a 2010 camaro....and 10249810395813 subbies/hondas/mitsus. You could smell the Uncle Bens cooking under their hoods. I left halfway through.

hey guys, random question that I haven't been able to get answered the last 2 times I posted it somewhere else..
I am ordering G2 paint to match the spicy orange for my calipers (gotta get it on before the OCC heh..) but I have the red paint on my calipers now that I did last year just because it was at autozone and easy to get, but anyways I was wondering if I can just clean off the caliper now with the spray cleaner stuff they give me and then just paint the orange paint on there.. or do I need to attempt to take the red paint off first? I don't know how well that would work since it is really on there.. I just don't want to spend $100+ on matched painted for calipers and have it come off..the help would be greatly appriciated, it's been bugging me for a little bit..

and also I found a random ORIGINAL NEPOC sticker under the carpet of the pass. seat while I was looking for my brother's key fob for school.. going right up on his car.. so was pretty happy about that (also found a gas receipt that chris/slug420 had left in there I guess and it got stuck under the seat)

As long as they are both the same type of paint (enamel, lacquer, etc) then you wont have chemical reaction problems...

other than that clean them really well and scuff the current red paint so the new stuff has something to adhere too, or it will start to flake and peel off real easy

Morning all. Happy Monday. Working from home today.

Was checking the GPS stats on the way home and found I had created a new land speed record for a NA Miata.

Morning folks. Fun times at VIR this weekend. HUGE corral and crazy fast parade laps.

Mainly the sound. People were looking at it every time I either got on it or let off and the BOV went off. I had several people come up to me and say it was the best sounding Miata they've ever heard. Well...thanks, but you didn't have to drive that loud b**** 8 hours to get there either...

Morning all! Accidentally used my shampoo as face wash, got a little in my nose, and my nose has been burning/stinging and running ever since. It's going to be a fun day!

ya since I won't have to worry about installing a whole bunch of things this time, I will make sure I catch the group driving down there this time, I was pissed I missed it last time, but oh well I was in a rush trying to do more things than I could

Glad to see everyone enjoying the weekend. Spent 6 hours on Sat detailing the Jetta in the nice sunshine. Using all Poorboy's products of course. ;)

1. Wash (mild detergent)
2. Dry
3. PB SSR2 by PC
4. Wipe down
5. PB SSR1 by PC
6. Wipe down
7. PB EX by hand
8. Wipe down

Then on Sunday Dan came over and we did a bunch of work on his car. Part of which I was able to remove a bunch of black marks he had incurred in a minor incident. The marks covered part of the front fender and bumper, as well as the nice white wheels. Yes, I should have taken before pics. Lol!
