Greetings from VIR! What a hell of a weekend so far. Marlon definitely hooked Mazda owners up. There are a lot of RX-8s running as well as Miatas and a few MS3s (Like Cheo's). Tons of giveaways, lots of interaction with the crews and one hell of a parade lap.
I rode with Phen (SATimko) for the parade lap section while Lauri drove my car for the parade laps. It was single file and at a decent speed. Nothing like LRP laps and probably beats almost all LRP laps except one. We came into a shallow "S" section and I told Phen to punch it.. Wow. Just f-ing wow. People were turning heads to look at Phen's angry ass Miata. Too much fun!
The give aways are just too damn cool. I won a Speed Source jersey (wearing it now actually) and there was a raffle for a NASA session for free (Google it). Also on the raffle is a pair of Speed Source pictures with frames that are signed by the drivers, tons of shirts and hats, and a few posters signed by the entire team. Also, we have a few pair of Pilotti shoes to raffle off. From what I see here, I can only imagine what LRP wil be like.
I haven't taken too many pics because I've been helping Marlon coordinate this weekend, but I'll try to get some from people to post. We have wayyyyyy too many cars here and beat the other car clubs by 2 to 1 at least. We have 30 Miatas at least and another 50 Mazdas in our car corral.
As of this posting, we have 9 Mazda owners holding grid flags for the upcoming race.
I won't ruin it with winners and all, but see you all next weekend at the Cape Cod meet!

what!!!!!!! boo!!! dammit..got everything done today.. got to drive a ferarri too that was really awesome!! showing up in a ferarri to lunch at crystal lake golf course suprised a few of my buddys.. but that lasted a whole hour and then kevin had to go home..
.. installed my interior leds today. very nice.. picked up a new truck 1999 V6 Ford Ranger 5 speed, my summer ride when the weathers bad (lol2), helped my dad pour a new concrete footing for his new finished basement.. the old one was just loose rock (nailbyt) did some yardwork.. busy day but now i can enjoy next saturday on the cape which will be nice..

Sup everyone, sooo much cleaning today. Taking the 8 to the CCSU Car Show tomorrow. Weather is calling for very light showers throughout the day so hopefully the turnout will still be good.

I noticed it has been taking a while for it to load the post sometimes, if you just press it once and wait for it to finish loading it shouldn't happen, I have the urge to click it again to make it go faster but I know I would just end up double posting.. at least that is how it happens for me...
Welcome from Waterloo ON. Covered 580 miles yesterday. Beautiful weather and top down the whole way. Made it in 9.5 hours. Cruised 74 most of the way. Mileage was a little dissappointing at 28 to 30 MPG. Maybe still winter gas around?
Got to see both of my daughters who are doing well.

Crazy productive weekend... Saturday: Washed the 6, installed the short throw, two trips to autozone, seafoamed the 8, and made an awesome dinner. Sunday: Got the brakes fixed on the 8, cleaned the wheels really well, put up a mirror in the bathroom, and the leaking problems from the trap and faucet are now fixed!!! I have a fully functioning bathroom now!! FINALLY!
