I get those letters all the time too. 120% book value sounds good, but you will probably pay MSRP for the new car, so it ends up being a wash. Sure they gave you an extra $2K for your trade, but you paid $2K more for the car than you should have. Negotiate the price of the car, then show them the letter...see if they will honor it then.


Speaking of dealerships, Mazda Gallery sent me an email today with a coupon for a $4.95 oil change. That's right. $4.95. It says at the bottom that they want my service back and I haven't visited since 2008. Ahh yes, they still have the Protege5 in their system. I'm do for an oil change on the MS6 anyway and usually have a $24.95 coupon. I'll bring both and see if they honor the $4.95 one.

why not change it yourself ?? it is easy.
 
Brilliant Black RX-8 GT, leather seats blah blah, appearance package, used 28.5k miles, couple of very minor dings, and some rock chips that need to be taken care of, but I'm in love with the car.

yes.. there are 2 threads about this whole situation in the 6 section and there was one in the 3 section as well.. and if your a member of MSF im just gonna say you know about it lol... Sad to see another vendor episode like Medievil or whatever hit the forums..
