Josh, get the rotary washer!

It's almost VRM too!

Jenn, we had the same thing happen to our condo months after we moved in. It was obviously a recurring problem because that's when we noticed the patchwork in the coat closet ceiling just below the bath tub. It turned out to be a leaky drain connection. We had a contractor pull out the tub, redo the floors and tile, and then reset the tub. Haven't had a problem since.

Found something pretty crappy last night in the condo... during the home inspection the guy noted a hole in the bottom of the shower in the master bath. He suggested a fiberglass repair kit. Well, last night I happened to be staring at the ceiling directly under the shower and noticed that the popcorn is a different consistency in a round area... Pushed on it and it's squishy... so the very small hole in the shower has been leaking down to the ceiling below.. There's no color difference, just popcorn consistency. I filled the hole with caulk and also went around the drain to be careful. When I went to put the caulk in the hole, water squished out of it and the last time the water was run was almost 24 hours before that. I'm not sure if I'll use the shower again before replacing it but at least this is something.

So... I have a standup shower that needs to be replaced.. suggestions? Shower stall kits? Getting the tray and walls separate? I know it's behind the drywall on the edges so it's likely nailed to the studs. I'll need to repair all of that during the replacement and the plywood under the shower. I'm hoping to avoid tearing out the ceiling under it.. Ugh. I'd LOVE to do a tile shower but it's way too much work and money right now..

It is probably just the drain Jen.. I'm having a similar problem with my master bath shower right now.

It is much cheaper to replace a small section of ceiling and a drain than a full shower.

So Sears just left, had to order new parts, they were supposed to bring a new washer but they dont carry it any more. Darnit!!! looks like the laundry mat tonight!

@ the office for the day...got the keys to the apt yesterday, so now we can start to move stuff in and get the utilities going etcetc.

i hope my appliances don't go soon too!

though the LL will have to place all but the washer/dryer, so I'm not too worried...

Need some input :) New site design for my business:

I don't like the middle part where you have the welcome message. It is a bunch of dead space, and the gray area to the right looks out of place. I like everything else though.

Those are two things that aren't even done...going to be added photo slot to the right of welcome, and expanding the text that's there.

Yeah, working on finding a photo album system that does what I want...if not then I'll be doing everything manually like my site now, and I don't feel like doing that lol. Also want to integrate blogger/twitter,etc.

I got excited last night, figured out how to do curved edges, gradient backgrounds and drop-shadows in CSS3 without using images. Might as well code for the future.

I'm not crazy about the REDD-DESIGN font. The color contrast with the background bugs my eyes and the font is a little thin. Maybe a black or white 1-2px border around the letters might work.

My only gripe with using code for curved edges is that they are jagged and not as smooth as images. This varies between browsers, as does the fade effect unfortunately.

True, but I can live with that since if they don't have a browser that does CSS3 it'll show a solid box with a border instead. I'd prefer not to deal with images for everything, and instead have just a div style.
