TGIF everyone! It's been a short week, but a busy one at that (at least for me!) I'm taking Monday off for another long weekend in a row, because my wife and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary!

A little experiment in time. > http://www.altspace.com/time.html

Pretty Cool. Can you set a alarm for them to go off all at the same time?

Happy Anniversary!!

Sad day in history. :(

Yes it is.

Been a busy couple of weeks for me at work. Going on vacation next week, heading out tomorrow morning to the Outer Banks NC with the GF.

Will post some pics hopefully while I'm down there.

Agreed. I'm sure everyone will remember where they were at the exact time things went down.

Nice! I miss OBX. I went once with my ex and was hooked. I've been trying to find any opportunity to go, but... hasn't happened in 3 years.

I cant believe its been 8 years already.

I was in High School gym class outdoors when out of no where the teachers said we all have to go inside. They had already pulled a bunch of TV's into the gym and the gym was packed. Ill never forget the look on my friends face as she ran up to me and gave me a huge hug... Her 2 brothers were pulled out of class... They were in the Army... and her Father was already en route to NY.

I was in my senior design studio at UConn. Someone said they hear a plane crashed into the White House. Someone snuck out of class into the computer room to get the whole story.

Days like today and projects like this remind me why I do what I do:

That is a 9/11 Memorial and Sports Complex in Wethersfield, CT. The pieces of steel are from the Towers after 9/11/01

yah, surgery this Monday! I'm sure I'll be posting bitching about pain and lack of range of motion soon enough. Where's the smiley icon the world's smallest violin?
best to you oleg!! if you need anything call me!
Sad day in history. :(

yes, and on top of this my friend is burying her mom today...she lived a long full life, beautiful lady she was!

and in other news..........

Sorry to hear Mark. A friend of mine has a birthday today. It's always odd to say the least.

Luke, that's awesome bro! Nice work and very creative.

I was up early and at work sitting at my computer when the first news hit the wire. Everyone was in shock and we all got to leave. Went home with a few other friends and while watching TV just moments later the 2nd plane hit. Then it all came down, as did my heart. I could feel the lives lost.

Was in Boston working near South Station. We all had to evacuate, trains were a mess. Got home sometime after lunch. South Station was like a refugee camp

was in geometry class back in high school...turned the tv on, and school got out early.

In other news, i think I got screwed out of money from work, I worked at another store and it doesn't look like the put the hours in...and they gave me my check from last week, so I thought I was getting more...sonuvabitch.

Time for work.

This is definitely the creepiest day in history that I will always remember. I was working (not in school) but had the day off. I got out of the shower, turned the news on, and saw the second plane fly into the second tower.. Watching it live on tv was a very depressing thing.

i was on the golf course...got a call from my boss saying they were sending everyone home...when we got to the club house we all watched the tv's in slience...we cancelled the outing and all went home...the next few days was crazy too...so weird not to see or hear any planes flying!

I was in the communications equipment maintenance lab in Chicago. We rigged up the equipment to recieve local radio and TV stations. Later that afternoon, the base was on lockdown with a 7pm curfew. A 100% recall went into effect and all military personnel were stuck on base for a few days afterwards.

I was in physics class at cushing academy..it was actually the first day of classes that day too. At first I didn't really know how serious it was (was thinking of something closer to a cessna and that it was an accident) but by the time I got to the TV in the Lounge the 2nd plane had just hit.
