NEMOC Random BS Thread

Oh yeah...I guess you could call it impatient Bruce...you say tomahto, I say tomato. :)

Those signs are funny and I'm sure they got motorists attention. Now let's wait to see when someone sues due to losing control of their vehicle after reading them and laughing.

Just got off the phone with State Farm. Estimate was done on Wednesday and they supposedly tried to contact me Tuesday night. Funny that I never got a vm from them????? The P5 is not totaled but damages are in at $3,111.62 barring any unseen items that need to be replaced. On the suspension side, it needs a lca and they threw in a link package. Since I wasn't informed and couldn't be present at time of inspection, I'm calling the shop on Monday to see if they are going to replace the hub and bearing too and if that total includes an alignment. Also need to ensure that they order a 2006 Miata base wheel and not a 2002 P5 wheel!

Best of luck with that Jeff.

Autox yesterday was a lot of fun, good weather as well. Finished last in my class, was a little frustrating. Still waiting for a Miata night to install the new tires.

Happy Mothers day. Going to see Mom this morning and mow the lawn and do some chores.

I need to get some pics up here soon to update you guys on my new-found insanity. If you thought I was bad before, I've really gone off the deep end.

The Civic project has a suspension now! Went with some Yellow Speed Premium Competition for the car. I really wanted to run with a Koni / GC setup like everyone else in class seems to do, but the over all cost to do so would have been crazy. I didn't want to blow my whole budget on one thing. Glad I didn't too becaue I broke a hard brake line at the wheel cylinder while buttoning up the last one. D'oh! Haven't been able to drive or fix the car yet, but so far she seems to be at a height that will work well. Looking forward to testing it out.

Started on some off the rust repairs. Still need some yellow paint. She'll never be pretty again, but will at least be a survivor. Some of the other parts of the car look even worse :(

Also I have your entire manilla folder of reciepts and records from the car, Reitrof! I especially enjoyed the random songs you wrote down in the little notebook that you wanted to remember :)

LOL that was my wife, she would hear a song when we were driving and would write it down in my log book because there was no other paper in the car. I kept telling her to stop but eventually gave up. She called the car Buttercup.

Hopefully you can keep her going.

Mornin all. So got my new tires on all balanced, alignment and I still have a pretty hard shaking of the entire car at 68 mph. I do 75 and it's gone, I do 55 and it's no where to be found. I had this issue last year and thought it was the azenis. So what else could be causing this? It is classic balancing issue but this doesn't seem to be the solution? Help! Most of my everyday driving is 65-70 mph.

Mahk, is it a possibility that one of the tires is our of round? Did they technician look for that? I had a tire that once I got to 60-65 MPH, I had a bad vibration and that was the cause of the shaking.

I've given up on getting a decent balance on the REPU. It just shakes in the exact range you specified...only I never really get above 75 to verify it goes away ;)

The ticket ordering link does not work off the flyer. Call Rob directly to order your tickets.

Camping pass is $100 for the whole weekend for an infield camping spot.

The Mazda Owners' Corral will be located inside Turn One once again!! Can't beat that view!!

We look forward to seeing YOU at the races!!

(Hello my friends!! Looking forward to seeing some of you next weekend at LRP!!)

Morning everyone, the pollen is in full effect right now. Can't keep the thing clean for even a day :\

Just a quick update for those of you attending the corral, we are a week out and Lauri will be finalizing the schedule today! We will have a very special guest at our corral on Saturday, Staff Sgt, Liam Dwyer! Here is a from IMSA's website.

What a great inspiration and what better way to celebrate Memorial Day. I am proud to call him a friend and to honor him for his service! Next week at this time, we'll be on the road to LRP, with 10-12 cars from Ohio and Jamie Barone as well! See you all next week!

Yup, same here. I not only have to try and keep both cars clean but also have to sweep the roof of the RV every other day from all the seed pods and stuff from the trees.

Canadiens beat the Bruins last night!!! Awesome series, a nail biter right to the end. Always enjoy watching both teams fight it out.

Off to a job interview this afternoon. Seasonal job delivering cedar around town. Close to where we are, 4 miles away, so it would help with the car costs.
