NEMOC Random BS Thread

oh ya, i just wanted to get home and not have to come back with a trailer and pick it up...i don't have a garage anymore so it's off to my buddy's shop tomorrow...i think my customized overflow bottle may be leaking....

Rear P5 calipers seize easily. I would clean and lube all 4 twice a year, but eventually they would seize.

Got something hitting the heater fan. Need to pull it apart and see if something fell down one of the def vents.

I just sat in a 2014 Mazda 6 today... I got to look it over and play with everything except start it up and drive it. They let me play with the radio and buttons, look in the trunk, and under the hood.... Holy s*** I think Mazda has a home run on their hands...

I am in love!

Still haven't seen one yet.

While I was looking at a discount outlet place, new and used stuff, I came across a little vac, Eureka 71B, that had excellent reviews in some of the RV sites. Normally sells for 40 plus shipping. This one was used and was 19 bucks. Was looking for a little vac that had a brush with it. Plugged it in the wall and it ran but not a lot of suction. Pulled off the dustbin and found there was plenty of suction. Took a chance and figured it was jammed and they had a 7 day return policy.

Took it home and opened up the brush and dustbin area. Sure enough the hose was jammed with crap and the brush area was clogged with something that must have been wet and had dried. Took about 30 mins and voila, the little vac was humming along and pulling all sorts of dirt from the carpet in the RV.

Cold here today and supposed to go below freezing tonite. Will have to turn on the tank heaters and leave the water running.

Hm, looks like it's crankshaft pulley replacing time on the Mazda. If only someone would turn the heat up. Part is a WHOPPING $60 at the store. When the car is running, though, I can see it wobbling, making the belt move a bit. Oh joy.

Ash, you welcome to make a trek down to my garage to make the repair if you like. I have 1000W halogen lights, it gets warm enough with the door closed.

brought the car to the shop today, couldn't find any leaks, never ran over 202 idling, didn't have time to do a pressure test, maybe next week....got windscreen washers again!!! just in time too, we're suppose to get 10" of snow tonight, nothing like messy, crappy road spray and no windscreen washers!

Good morning! haha Replaced motor mounts earlier today at my bro-in-laws. He has a nice oversized and heated two car garage with a lot more tools than I so it beat doing it my driveway during the snowstorm. If anyone's up for a read, check out the 'what have you done to your P5 thread'....nothing is ever 'easy'. Speaking of snow, how bad did you guys/gals get hit? We got about 4" inches here.

Sounds like some fun with that Kayak Bruce!!! And I think you found your calling as a vac-tech. :p haha

Mahk, sux to hear about the car. Hope it's nothing major.

Oleg....what the??? I've been lucky and only had one rear seize on me *knocks on wood*

GL Ash!

Bruce... I need a photo of the kayak strapped to the top of the NC. That would make me happy.

A happy Phen is... well... It's pretty much just Phen. I'm always happy for some odd reason.

Hmm, probably not Phen since it is inflatable. Takes mins to inflate and deflate. Why would I strap it to the roof??

Morning all. Little cold last night, down to 32F. COld today but sunny. If it's warm enough will try the kayak.

Happy New Year mazda/nemoc peeps!
