Hah hah, yeah, I should put a bike rack in the bed of the REPU just for the bike.
I had an interesting ride home tonight after meeting up with some of Oleg's friends to brew beer in Nashua. I was about 2 minutes from home when I encountered an armada of flashing lights. The road up to my neighborhood is notorious for accidents. I turned off onto a neighborhood to loop around the block. It was dark so I flipped on the high beams. About a 1/2 mile later everything when dark. No lights! Ahh! I pulled over immediately because NH doesn't have street lights and I couldn't see a damn thing. I couldn't even tell if I was on the edge of the road, that's how dark it was. In the dark I fiddled around under the hood and switched what I thought was the horn fuse with the light fuse. I had labeled things a few weeks ago but I wasn't 100% sure I had the right ones. All I remembered was that the horn was furthest to the right. I lucked out and the lights turned on! I drove home (without high beams) and parked it. Under the lights of the garage I inspected and confirmed the blown fuse. The entire fuse box, which is pretty crude anyway, was hot to the touch. There must be a wire grounding out somewhere. When I got the truck, I had noticed the fuse box had previously melted a bit. I guess this is how it happened. Note to self, stick to the low beams until the bad wiring can be identified.
