I have a 02 P5, and here's a list of stuff that I am gonna have them installed soon:

Mazdaspeed turbo kit ( from a MSP )
Apex downpipe with high flow cat
Greddy EVO catback system
Fuel pump
FMU
FMIC from Spool

I know you guys wouldn't recommend for a Mazdaspeed turbo kit, but I've got a it from a sweet deal, and what I am looking for is not nuts powerful but just some imporvement from NA.

So here's my question, first of all, I bought an E-Manage system a few months ago, and I've seen poeple on the board saying that e-manage isn't the ideal system for our car, is it? I am curious what would happen if I just run the turbo without any fuel management, would that be ok? Since my turbo isn't so powerful, a fuel pump and FMU might be enough, right? Second, Would my engine light go up if I have what I listed installed? anyway to solve it? Does the apex Mil Eliminator ( CEL fix) work? Third, do you think that it is a good combination of what I have listed? Thanks guys and girls :D

did you get the MSP ECU when buying the msp turbo kit???

If you have the emanage you dont need a FMU. Spool uses the emanage with good results..

if you are just running the MSP turbo kit with ECU you won't need the FMU. if you are keeping the stock ECU and go with a FMU, i would suggest you buy a voltage clamp as well to trick the ECU from pulling fuel under boost. both FM and Spool use them/sell them.

the emanage has to be modded slightly to work in our cars. if you send your unit to spool they can do the stuff to it for cheap.

I've got the emanage in my car, and it works great, so I dont know who told you it wasnt a decent system for our cars.

I was under the impression the e-manage didn't work with out ecus because of voltage reasons? How did you overcome that?

The stock P5 has 80% headroom on the injectors. If you up to 5 Psi Max you will be fine on the stock. ECU. The MSP ECU might be a good idea. I have a P5 and I don't think that Mazds would turbo a car and leave thr ECU the way it was.

No engine light problems man.

Later...make sure you dont miss any bolts.

i dont have the msp ECU, and that's why i bought my e-manage
I only see the microtech system on the spool website, did they use the e-manamge?

What if you keep the P5 ECU running with the greddy e-manage, would i need a FMU?
What exaclty is a voltage clamp, and where to find one? Will i need the voltage clamp even if I have the e-manage?

thanks for the informative replies, guys

Does the e-manage do timing and fuel on our car? Is that possible to for spool to tune the e-manage for me?

spool mentioned in the mazdaspeed section that he has the emanage available for the MSP. So i would think he would have the correct maps.

fuel only.......

with th emanage you wont need a FMU!!!

i think you still will need a voltage clamp.

im still running my voltage clamp...

yea spool can tune it for ya no problem. just get in touch with terry. it only does for now.

I feel bad asking this question, but can someone please tell me what a voltage clamp is? What does it do? where to get one?

i dunno man, vic is running up to 10psi with the hiboost at 243whp or some s*** on stock injectors. so they may have more leeway than you think.

right now at 8psi im at 77% duty cycle, to run 10+ with my setup im going to need larger injectors. 10psi on stock injectors is pushing it somewhat, id like to see real duty cycle screenshots from the haltech programing.
