All well...I am going out to California to help some elderly (my aunt and uncle) My mom called me and asked if i would go if she paid...So hopefully it works out. if nothing else i get to ride in an airplane again (woot) They didnt mention $$ but at least I'll eat for free... (cool)
I leave next monday and come back the 7th...not that any of you care...lol...but I just found out so im excited!

Cool. Free food is always good. If you are really stuck for loot you could always beg your creditors to let you make a late payment.

careerbuilder.com is a much better site than monster, or check suburbanchicagohelpwanted.com as well.

i know how you feel tom. i am trying my hand at selling cars to make ends meet right now and its hard, i'm having a rough time with it. i've toyed with the idea of selling both my cars and moving back in with the parents or finding a job elsewhere. the chicagoland job market is really tough right now, fiercly competitive. i've had dozens of interviews and the well seems to be dry.

Thanks!!! Im posting my resume on there now!

don't just post your resume and hope that companies will find it. search like crazy and apply for everything under the sun. sales, customer service, retail, restaurant management.

Surprisingly Careerbuilder.com actually has referred a few employers to me already. I've had about 5 emails and a few voicemails for sales positions. I'd say that is the best right now.

Or, you could try the Illinois unemployment homepage.
www.ides.state.il.us
There is a link on the right for "Find a Job"
Then type your zip.

I saw one on the Illinois unemployment site for data entry with an Army recruiter I think. You had to to the usualy piss, and background tests,
then a polygraph too (boom06)
