Need Recommendation for brake pads

Has anyone put the Hawk HPS on their CX-7? Tire Rack has them at a pretty reasonable price. I've read on another forum though that they are designed for lighter vehicles and might not be the best choice for a CX.

I understand that the Carbotech Bobcats and EBC Reds are popular, but they seem a little spendy for a street pad.

Any others to recommend? I'm not looking for a "performance" pad per se, just something for every day use.

Thanks!

Unless you are unhappy with performance, life or excess dusting, I would stick with OEM. I have found that unless I have a special need, that OEM pads offer the best all around features.

I haven't been abusive on the reds yet, but WOW! They are much better than OEM. Already saved me from a deer collision.

i have hawk HPS pads on.

personally, not a fan. they brake very well when put under heavy prolong stress periods (track) but for street use. not a fan at all.

especially in the mornings when the car is cold. the pads are WAY to soft and they do not bite at all. the pads require to have some heat in them to be fully utilized.

the OEM posiquiets have better bite at normal driving conditions but they do produce a little fade.

maybe i should try the reds next...
