Any good segestions of mods to a 2003 mazda 6 2.3L? I am new in this and I am looking for good parts for cheap. I was looking to installing an AEM Cold air induction system, anything else any one recomends or any other brands anyone suggest?

you could start with an intake but do a search on here because there was a guy recently that had the same thread as you. Just look around im pretty sure you'll find something

Now what is the difference between a mazda 6 and a mazdaspeed6? I want to use this type of list to go off of when I am doing perfomance upgrades to my car I just dont know if those parts are compatible with my car.

Mazdaspeed6 is the turbo'd, AWD, 6spd version of the 6 that was only made in 06 and 07. There's a few other differences but those are the most prominent.

maybe nib around the mazda 3 (nonmazdaspeed) threads. there seems to be a lot of info in that section. those guys are pretty serious about their 3's.

since you have the 2.3 you may be able to use the balance shaft delete, headers, theres also some stuff about timing advance to make more power.

So would the parts for the 3's be compatible for the 6 or would I just be looking for further ideas? please excuse my ignorance

basically read everything you can on the N/A 2.3 mzr. some if it may be applicable. except intake, i dunno.

oh i gotcha, Im kinda on a tight budget and Iv been trying to stay away from brands that I havent really heard much of but I dont want to dish out the money for something like K&N, iv kinda decided to go with AEM for my intake bc its been recomended to me by some people and iv seen some cars on this forum running an AEM intake system
