My forward facing radar was damaged and I need to replace it. Can I buy a used one that has already been in another car but salvaged? I have heard that once it is linked to one key in the original car, it will not work in a second automobile. Is this true? New ones are hideously expensive and I can get a used one for about, 20% of the cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

But, I doubt it. It probably needs programming by a dealer....

A lot of times, it would refer you to use Mazda-MDS.... yes, only dealer has it.
I used to have a Service Manual of '08 CX9. 2 inch thick. It contains a lot of info.
