Need help with BEGI kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how's she doing?

How long did the install take? Total man hours/total days the car was off the road.

Also, for every problem you ran into, list it along with it's solution, if you can, and post it on here. Hopefully corky/FM will update their manuals for the next batch. Thank you!

It seems to be running fine, only running problem I have is that its seems to almost stall on quick stops. Not to mention I have no clue how to tune this thing. The car was off the road for 5 days. I got it running on the 6th

Problems.

1. I put the oil return line on the wrong side of the oil pan, fixed it with an expanding plug.

2. I cut the wrong fuel line. I cut the line from the tank to the rail. Iwas supposed to cut the return line. I was able to fix it by taking the factory termination going to the rail and with a heat gun removeing the cut peice of line and bending up and reattaching the remaining line tot eh factory termination.

3. I over tightened the machined side of the hose barb for the return fuel line and snapped it off. I picked up another barb and used a heat cun to form the plactic line onto the barb since I was uncapable of machining it.

4. A 19" segment of fuel line was missing from the kit. I had some shipped to me over night. Unfortunitly they mentioned it had to be extreamly strong and that I was unlikely to find anything like it so I agreed to pay for satureday delivery to get it the next day. turns out this was :bs:. Corky mentioned later it only had to be 300 PSI max line that I could have gotten anywhere.

5. I didn't realize the studs for the manifold I was sent in the kit were to large until after I had tried to bolt up the manifold for over 2 hours. They were 1/2 cm to long. After getting the right ones over nighted, I had to wait till wednesday, I was able to bolt on the turbo/manifold in about 1/2 hour. A wide assorment of sockets and wrenches realy helped.

6. either the manifold to turbo threads in the manifld were machined in properly or I messed them up when I put in the studs. 2 of them went in to the point that I could barely get a nut to grab them. I had Corky send me new ones for this also. They were different then the first set but they didn't help the treads were screwed. To fix it I used extra locktite and did't screw them in all the way.

When I first fired up the engine I only saw one small leak from a fitting on the turbo so I gave it a extra 360 and it was fine.

I also might have a coolant leak but I can't tell. I spilled antifreeze while refilling the radiator and the fan kicked in a blew it on everything. So either that is still burining off or I have a coolant leak I can't find.

That seems to be it other than I can't figure out how to tell if I am running to rich or lean and exactly what the damn needle valve on th FPR is exactly for.
