Need help, I am begging... (TURBO LAG)

Simply denying that a problem exists and blaming it on turbo lag is an easy out. I think mazda needs to get directly involved and a rep needs to drive the vehicle. I think the situation is in your hands now and you need to take over, its obvious from your posts that the dealer isnt going to help you out.

I will tell you this, when Mazda bought my car back, it frankly had nothing to do with the dealer that I purchased my car from. Once Mazda was involved, the car became a mazda issue and the dealer service and sales was completely out of the picture. Get mazda involved and demand some action. If it truly is a 4 second lag, something is wrong and they need to rectify your concerns and/or the problem

I got the TCM update and no change and I almost killed my family today driving to dinner in the CX7 because I misjudged the amount of time it took to get out of traffics way so looks like Mazda wins this one (still takes 3 seconds to get to 10mph). I am done. If it takes a week for the mazda rep to call me then the issue isnt too important to them. I am going to find another car tomorrow and I will be done with Mazda. I am going to call the dealer and let them know how I feel about them and their service department. I will follow up that call to a call to Mazda to give them a chance to do something before I actually trade the CX7. I am going to get royally screwed trading this thing in but I would rather take the hit in the wallet than chance my familys safety. I do love driving the vehicle once i get started and I really enjoyed being part of this board, it seems everyone wants to help and thanks for all the ideas!

i strongly suggest that before you trade in a brand new car and take a massive wallet hit, persue any avenue possible with mazda with the buy back, lemon, or whatever else you can do. trading without exhausting some options isnt such a smart idea yet

I would contact an attorney (first free hour) and see what your options are in your State. I feel that the lemon law may come into play IF the 3-4 second hesitation is real and can be duplicated. Don't shoot yourself trying to get out-from-under this issue. JMO Ed

I test drove an 08 today with 5 miles on it still wrapped, acceleration is a bit better, sure it would be better once the engine was broke in.
