Navigation Issues

We have a 2010 CX-7GT and the navigation system works fine around town (StL) but take it on a trip and it's worthless. We have made 2 separate trips, once to Florida and once to Texas and you can't rely on the thing. On the way to Florida it wanted us to go to Evansville, IN and on the way home it wanted us to go to Birmingham when we are almost to Nashville. Then on the way to Houston via Texarkana, it wanted to take us to Dallas. Then it takes over 100 miles sometimes to recalculate where you are going. It's really a PITA that this is in the car and totally unreliable. Guess I'll be using my Garmin 760 on the next trip.

I've gone through the manual several times and tried different settings but nothing seems to work.

The navigation in 2010 CX-7 is not worth even a penny vs. the one in previous years. Not only routing but the user interface, the display size, the missing info about highway exits, etc (blarf). But overall the car is a lot better then before :)

Hahaha... lol, you are not the first one. I always bring my TomTom when on a long trip to unfamiliar places. The worst thing about the Mazda GPS is you can't operate it while the vehicle is in motion and the voice command is a useless piece of s***... (hand)
