this guy that works where i work also has an mp3 (with an 80 shot of nitrous) he let me drive it and all i have to say is wow, he has the switch hooked up ti the throttle body so when he floors it it trips the switch. we took our cars out on the highway and he beat me sooo bad
man i want nos
 
nooo! baaaaaaddddddd! for some reason nitrous dosent seem to get along well with our cars. I wouldn't recomend it. If you want to go fast on the high way and drag race you might want to look into getting a diffrent car... like one that goes fast!(or can be made fast, or has more parts avalible, or has more horse power) im just busting your balls do what ever your heart desires but be forwarned. NAAAAAWWWWWZZZZZZ= BAD!
 
Just say NO to NOS for your MP3

You can get NOS, but just be prepared to pay $4000+ to get your car fixed if it goes bad. One problem our cars has is the advanced timing, and fuel issues. I had Nitrous, and it cost me an engine for my MP3. That's why I now have the FS-ZE. If you do it right, it could work, but there are not many of our MP3's that have survived N20. Ask a fellow MP3-Owner on this site. He just got his car back from the shop since March. I thought I would be a pioneer, and be different. Man what an expensive lesson that has cost me over $7,000!:eek: It was fun for the 2 days that my engine survived, but no fun after that. That's why I went Turbo.

How long has he been running that 80 shot?

Wasn't your kit hooked up wrong though? I'm pretty sure people can get away with nitrous on any car, as long as they don't run it too high. 80 shot seems high...

Well, whether it was hooked up wrong is still in question. I just wasn't getting enough fuel, and the distribution was uneven. An 80 shot is high for our cars!:eek: Just wait. BOOOOM!
 
i am running a nx system with a 75 wet shot . i have the pills at a 41 on nos side and the fuel is a 25 ( supposed to be a 24). i have it rich, the injectors can lean out a little, if it gets too rich! i have had no problems. with the 40 shot my brother out ran a v-6 eclipse gt, rsx type s, and i think a dodge neon with an acer motor (not to sure about the neon). the neon was the fastest. i could swear he was spraying. i do recomend a wet system, because u always have enough fuel to support the nitrous, without depending on the injectors. spray all the way for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what ever it takes to cross the line first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats racing!!!!!
 
Dude...

... One of the big bottles... No No make that two. I am no pro on Nitro' but hey most have had nothing but very bad luk with the fs-de and Nitro'.

Can everybody refer to what it should be referred to as, and that is, NITROUS?

Let's remember, NOS is a brand name.

Anyway.
I'd like nitrous just for the purge system, and just so I could be like, look. I gots de nitrous. Could I just set up the purge system, never really use the nitrous, and not hurt my car?

wow you guys brought this thread back from the dead. They key to EVERY is proper tunning. if you do it right then you can run N20. i think people say safely you can runn a wet 75 shot on your motors

Same... I've been wanting Nitrous lines Connected to my Windshield washer nozzles, and then adjust them to point 90 degrees out .... so when I purge, I can use it to blind drivers besideme and make a Slow P5 getaway
 
So what kind of tunning should we do? If we want to run Nitrous? What is the best Nitrous kit out there for the Mp3? What is the best kind of set up? Is it better to have the push button activation or when you hit a certain red line to shoot? I want to use it so bad, but I need more info, I dont want to just go out there and buy any nitrous kit, I want the best one that is going to be the safest for our cars.

Your fuel jet seems a little too small. Shouldn't you be in the mid 30's? I used to run N2O on my probe, and I ran a 42/36 sometimes... then again, it was a v6, so it was probably different. All I remember is too small of a fuel jet would equal increased fuel pressure possibly leading to seizure of injectors.
