My wheel FELL OFF - BC coilover failure

I don't wanna bash their products either. I know many people on here like their setup. I just wanted to add my $0.02:

I believe the "other" affordable coilovers are a one piece lower, not 2 threaded pieces welded together.

I have spoken directly with their US rep and he always got back to me within a couple of days.

I'm in IT and when people ask me what computer/laptop to buy, I always recommend the brand that has the best service AFTER the sale. Other than that, they are all made in the same few factories in China.

I hope you get this situation resolved.

i've ran my bc's for almost to years now, no issues...and believe me, the roads around here are not very nice!

I have tracked my car with their coilovers and when I did have an issue BC responded right away and sent the replacement part right away, without question, In fact I was outside of the warranty period. I think it is a matter how you present your case to them. Like my good friend Bazooka Joe, our roads here are total crap.

the part that matters is that BC isnt backing up there products at all. even on a major failure. why would i spend almost a grand on some coilovers, when i know the maker will ignore me if i have any issues. no thank you. i was trying to figure out if i wanted BC's or another set of Ksports. my decision has now been made. lol

May I ask what you are basing your opinion on? is it just on this post or several others where you have full documentation of each and every situation. Not trying to be an ass, without full disclosure of each and every situation, it hard to rely on only one situation/incident.

BC does have great customer service, just get on the phone with them, emails are back and forth and arent straight forward, I speak from experience. And if the OP was telling the 100% truth about what happenend, I find it hard to believe that BC would take his damaged coilovers and not reimburse him at all or replace anything. I mean the guy is out the set of coilovers, the price it cost him to buy them($1000) and the tow costs. I think he would be a little more adamant about getting any kind of reimbursement.

I understand what you are saying but I was grateful that nothing serious happened to me or my car. I sent the parts in (I wasn't trying to cover anything up), and waited for a response. I got busy with school and had the stock set back on the car so it wasn't a priority. I more want to just let everyone know what happened in my situation. I still don't know why the strut failed physically besides what I had already said about it being blown. I made some use out of what was left over. My rear right strut blew ~20k after putting them back on so I used the BC struts on the back just to avoid buying a new stocker. Working fine but I wouldn't trust the front BC struts.

To add, I havent heard about their customer service being bad, on the contrary I heard the were quite well. The same might not be said for their actual products.
