My TTD build thread

Well, spend a decent part of my budget tonight on stuff that won't make my car go any faster: Hans Device, mesh window net (hated the ribbon style and never really used it), right side net, balaclava and more roll bar padding.

You don't know that. If you feel safer, maybe you'll push harder and go faster? ;)

My helmet had pre-installed anchors so adding the posts was easy.

I decided to gut my headlights instead of replacing them with Aluminum so I could keep the bumper supports. Went from 4 pounds each to 1 pound each. I need to add an air inlet to the drivers side then paint them. I'm thinking flat black.
Headlight case on the right, guts I'm throwing away on left.

Dirty in-process pictures of the air intake in my headlight. After a little cleanup and painting, it should look good.

Air deflector to cover the location of the stock intercooler.

Subbin.

Good luck this year, Bill! Looking forward to watching you on track. :)

Thanks Lewis.

Wheels came in today. The satin black is making me rethink painting this set blue.

In that case: blue would probably be a lot easier to inspect for cracks. Just sayin.

If they were SubZeros that would be right, but the Slipstreams don't have problems like that.

I think I've decided to try a blue ring around the OD outside the spoke area for a little color.
