So I have a fun (sarcasm) story I'd like to share with everyone. As some of you may know I just bought my 04' Mazda 3 hatchback about a month ago and joined the forum about that same time. So, Let's begin.
Two weeks after I purchased my "Angry Pumpkin" my wife decided she would take my car out to get a late night snack. Two problems with this. One, I never get put fast food in my car. Two, my wife took my car without asking me (my wife isn't the "best" driver) so I hope you all understand.
So, after getting her food she heads home she hits a man hole cover or something in the road causing a fair amount of damage. She limped it home and woke me up to take a look at it.. I wish I had pictures to show you all. Here's the damages.. 2 Blown out tires, 2 cracked/bent rims, blown strut, busted rear swaybar links, blown shocks in the rear and cracked the bottom skip plate. FML
So, I claimed it on my insurance and had the adjuster come to my shop where I work and give me a quote and a check. With the money I was able to get 4 new 17" Motegi Rims, 4 Nokian WR g2s, 2 struts, sway links, shocks, brakes, battery... and still took money home. Thank god for my sweet sweet discounts and free labor. =) So 2 weeks without my car has been killing me and I just got it yesturday. Here are some pictures I just took of it. =)
