My Sparko Wire Broke....Anyone Else???

I appreciate your efforts here Derrick!!!...but personally, I'd highly recommend a re-design and would make DAMN sure this doesn't happen again...or I'm sure you realize the consequences of loosing customers here. So please do not send me back wires until you're "VERY" confident the problem is fixed.....again thanks!!

By the way, I have noticed my idle is rougher since I put the stock wires back on.

Everyone, please read the other Sparkco thread entitiled "Sparkco Wires Installed", for my continuation and my professional opinion for severe disagreement of the reasoning the designer places on the wire failure!!....Peace!

Just from my memory on the response to both mine and the other thread..HMMM,..I think around 4-5 so far...but many are now scared to check...so the number could be an ass load..Peace!

this thread should just be tied to the other. I'm afraid to even look at mine the wrong way.... (pissed)

For the record there has been 3 reported cases of defect out of around 300 wires sets sold for Protege 2.0L engines. That is a 1% defect rate. Any manufacturer of any product will have an equal or higher defect rate. People seem to be talking as if every wire set we have ever sold is broken and that we are ripping people off. I REPEAT : There are 3 people who have reported problems !!!! Now please do not argue that is because no one else out of 300 people has removed their wires after installing.

I feel that we have been very responsive to people who bought from Sparkcoonline and who have had probelms, and we do not appreciate the suggestion that we are ripping people off. If we were, would we even take the time to respond to you guys ?

The grease issue will help reduce wear and tear, and probably prolong the life of the wires. We do acknowledge that the defected wires need to be looked at (we have not received them back yet) and analyzed to see how we can make the wires even stronger and robust. In fact, I am going down to the warehouse/design center tomorrow to check out some of the improvements that are being suggested and tested even before we examine the returned wires.

We have a warranty in place because we believe in our product, and to ensure the consumer they get a good product. We acknowledge that the wires that have been reported defective are our responsibility and we are going to replace them.

I understand the frustration of people who got wires that broke, but we are trying to make things right. Please do not over generalize based on a 1% defect rate.

The defect rate isn't where my concern "initially" was.....my disagreement fell within the comment to the reasoning of the defect. So since you've acknowledged that just a dielectric grease isn't the fix, I'll feel better knowing your addressing the "REAL" issue!

Alright guys,

I received my Sparkco wires yesterday, and from what I can tell, here are the Changes:

1. The boot design is "much" beefier, meaning a much thicker/harder circluar boot

2. On the old boots, if you looked inside at the connector, the metal fittings where of poor quality, hence connection failure, plus I couldn't even push them on the plug with ease on the old ones,...but the new ones had a much improved metal fitting connection and fit like a glove the first time

3. I got no dielectric grease nor instructions directing me to my local mechanic for installation..LOL!

4. So far didn't break upon removal

5. Didn't get reimbursed on shipping, but I can live with that if the wires function properly

6. I guess, overall, there is a visual quality difference and the damn wires seem to be heavier, probably indicating a stronger tougher boot connection.

7. Will I buy from them again?....yes.......Was customer satisfaction met?.........yes...........Was product revised to be better?..........as far as I can tell, yes

Peace!
