My right side-view mirror fell out!

2001 Miata, 2011 Mazda 2
I was on my way to work this morning when I tried to check my right side mirror and it was freaking gone! I have 890 miles on the car. I got in touch with the dealer I bought it from, and I think he's gonna be cool about it. I didn't hit anything... it must have just fallen out on the way home from work last night.

I have pictures. I will post them in a bit.

omg haha. How does a mirror just fall off? Isn't it power mirrors? it would be hanging right?
 
Along with leather bolsters and HIDs, the GT trim also has loctited side mirrors. You gotta pay to play.

so you are saying that the mirrors on the gt are only heald on by loctite??

I thought you meant the whole thing fell off

But just the glass did. That's crazy haha
 
If nothing else I think standard replacement glass is between $25-30. What I wonder is if the motor mounts are still intact. The glass snaps into three ball joints (one center, two small ones to the outside and bottom) and they're really secure. From the picture it looks like all three are intact, so you'd just need new glass.

You could always take this opportunity to add heated glass. :)
